Rest in Peace K9 Dooly! A beloved member of @SavPolice for years and his family, he will certainly be missed. Please join us in praying for his loved ones during this time. https://t.co/qEJYWB7lVq
As Mental Health Awareness Month draws to a close, please remember the 988 hotline is ALWAYS available for anyone experiencing an emergency or needing a listening ear. Talk to your loved ones, support each other during difficult times, and know that it's ok to not be ok.
Law enforcement K-9s are not only great emotional partners for their handlers and departments, they have essential jobs that can only be done by highly intelligent & specially trained animals.
Praying for the safety of these sweet faces as they keep their fellow Georgians safe!
Say cheese, K-9 edition. 🐾📸
Behind every good photo is a highly trained K-9 ready to work alongside their handler every single day. These are just a few of our incredible K-9’s.
Human trafficking hides in plain sight, and as we approach @FWC26Atlanta, it’s more important than ever to learn the signs and know how to report suspicious actors.
I’m grateful for the work @its_apenalty & our other partners are doing to spread awareness and prevent human trafficking in Atlanta.
Thanks to @AgCommHarperGA for supporting this important program! By making it easier to afford spay and neuter services, we will help to reduce shelter overcrowding and strengthen the health and wellness of animals across the state.
I’m proud to announce a record $1.15 million investment through Georgia’s Dog and Cat Sterilization Program Grant to help expand access to affordable spay and neuter services across our state.
This funding will support shelters, rescue organizations, and veterinary partners as they work to reduce overcrowding and improve animal welfare in communities across Georgia.
Applications open May 15 and close June 15.

While visiting with the first responders working to protect Georgians and their homes in the face of wildfires, I met Shanya Kadian of @GaTrees. She and US Marshal Jason Parrell bravely rescued 21 animals and assisted two others who were trapped while the fire fast approached the structure these dogs, cats, and Guinea pig were locked in. These animals are all safely housed now thanks to Recovery Farms for Vets in Folkston, which you can reach out to to support these animals and those assisting them. I’m so thankful for the courage and quick action of these heroes that saved these animals’ lives, and for all they and our firefighters are doing to protect both people, property, and pets during this time!
Marty and I are on the ground today with first responders and state officials in the fight against the South Georgia wildfires. Yet again, we’ve been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support that Georgians have shown for their neighbors. The Georgia Forestry Foundation is helping with those incredible efforts that demonstrate the very fabric of our state.

As Brian and I spent the day with those on the front lines of this fire fight, we were reminded that tough times don’t last. Tough people do. And Georgia is full of tough people.
We’ll continue to throw everything we can at these fires, and I ask everyone to join us in praying for all those impacted.
As we continue to mourn the loss of this young man and pray for the recovery of his wife, we ask any Georgians in the area to be on the lookout for Mel and help reunite her with her family. Thank you to all those already searching; we pray Mel is found soon!

Thank you to @carmenjohnston and Home Depot for providing these beautiful floral arrangements for the Governor’s Mansion as we celebrate @TheMasters!
These incredible @GeorgiaGrown flowers are a wonderful addition to our event tonight.
Grateful for the tireless and constant work of @Georgia_AG and his team to leave no stone unturned when it comes to prosecuting human traffickers & bringing justice to survivors!
Our message is clear — if you abuse & exploit a child in this state, we will prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law.
Thanks to our partners @GwinnettSO, Clayton County PD & @USMarshalsHQ for working with us on this latest investigation.
Celebrating #GeorgiaAgWeek and the hardworking farmers who keep our communities strong and our tables full! Thank you for supporting Georgia's No. 1 industry and the families who make it successful.
Happy #GeorgiaAgWeek! 🌱🚜
This week, we celebrate the hardworking farmers, ranchers, agribusinesses, & farm families who keep our state thriving. Through every season, their dedication puts food on our tables and strengthens our communities.
#GeorgiaGrown is proud to support and uplift these incredible individuals each and every day—connecting consumers to local products, promoting agricultural excellence, and honoring the backbone of our state.
Join us in saying thank you and choosing local.
I was honored to host my last Legislative Spouses Luncheon today. It truly has been an honor to serve. We appreciate all of their friendship and their spouses’ support!
The @GBI_GA HEAT Unit is doing great work pursuing buyers and traffickers while rescuing survivors, as this operation shows. Thank you to the GBI, Houston County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia State Patrol, Homeland Security Investigations, and all involved! https://t.co/MTUV3owHfp
I am so grateful that Georgia has so many leaders who are committed to fighting human trafficking.
At today’s GRACE Commission meeting, we heard from a number of our partners about the preparations being made ahead of this summer’s FIFA World Cup. As we get ready for this historic event, we are making it clear that trafficking has no place in this state!
Rescuing and supporting survivors has always been our top priority. That’s why we created the Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit with @Georgia_AG, and we’re grateful for all the work it has done since to make our state a leader in this fight.
We’re leading the nation in the fight against human trafficking — rescuing and assisting more than 200 children since 2019.
We won’t rest until every victim is safe and every trafficker is behind bars.
I join Brian in thanking Donna for her incredible career of service at CHOA. I especially want to thank her for her service on the GRACE Commission and her dedication to protecting and supporting vulnerable young Georgians who have been victims of human trafficking.
Marty, the girls, and I want to thank Donna Hyland for her incredible service at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, including her years of valued leadership as its CEO. CHOA is one of the nation's top children's hospitals thanks to her and her great team, and our state has been made better by her contributions.
