Tomorrow at Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library at 7:00 PM for Monika Herzig's presentation on the House of the Singing Winds. Monika will discuss this project and the live streamed concert on May 3rd 2022 at Altes Pfandhaus in Cologne that celebrated 10 Years of Indiana Jazz.

Schwenkbraten will be available both nights of #IndyFrühlingsfest22. Saturday during the day is open seating, and there will be limited open seating after 5:00 on Friday and Saturday, but to get table service, please call for a reservation of a table. [phone].

This is a traditional grilling method originally from Saarland, and now common in Southern Rhineland and Baden. Schwenkbraten is a special pork cutlet, marinaded in special spices (Claus' special blend) and grilled on the schwenker over hardwood (usually beech)

and special juniper, the resins of the latter providing a unique flavor not replicated with other woods. The swinging grill allows for controlling the cooking and moving the cutlets over different woods, and over differing heats.
