So... we are torn between "it's the most popular platform" and "I can't stand for what it perpetuates/believes in". In good conscience I can't X,on X. Not sorry. Just, no. No more.
Happy anniversary! One year of sitting by myself playing #boardgames on camera since February 25, 2023.

And for some of you, today also marks the anniversary of the old podcast - February 25, 2003!
@djxana20 @ceephour@the_ribo @HWHQNewfie Sorry dslover (yes I remember you!), apparently I haven't checked Twitter in a long time (thank Elon!).

I have spent the last few weeks playing the incredible #FinalGirl by @VanRyderGames and am finally wrapping it up - FOR NOW. Here's the playlist of carnage: https://t.co/pnqYuJwAZ9
These were from 2004 and never seen. They not made by me (I obviously STILL have no skillz), but by a graphic artist (the same who did the final website).
@gustos247 I dug around and found this file from 2004. I know there was one other but I can't seem to find it. I also unearthed some other things that never saw the light of day.
Today wasn't supposed to be me lamenting my former passion but acknowledgement of 20 years ago today we all shared something pretty strange on the Internet, and I am thankful for every one of you (well, except, like, two of you 😅). It was one of the best things to be part of.
@HWHQNewfie We went from "just don't buy the horse armor" to pre-ordering games for $40 over MSRP to get a brown helmet (instead of green) in a first person game. That's fine. 😑
Also, the hype cycle and constant news of layoffs and bad behavior (looking at you, Blizzard) was exhausting.
That was a time before the word "podcast" existed (I carried that torch far too long). Somehow in that time I've managed to not get dead, get married, and have a kid. All things that I would have never guessed. Nor would I have guessed I'd lose my passion for video games.
@istoffberg There absolutely is, indies and roguelikes kept me going for a long time (longer than they should have). It was really a failing by me to ignore the industry/[social]media garbage and separate "just playing and enjoying games" from the rest. It completely smothered my flame.
Thanks, video game industry. You ruined something beautiful. Thankfully, I "recently" (2018) discovered how incredible #boardgames are (and have been). It took far too long, but, just as cheaply GAMERadio was produced, I now have no-budget video! https://t.co/AXD4ZuwtCU
Oh my goodness, it's the anniversary month of the launch of GAMERadio! Feb 25th is fast approaching.
2003 was only -

@MFeRock I've been working on this a loooong time. Finally able to get it working at the new place. It doesn't look or sound the best, but it's all I've got. Very excited to get to a level of "watchable". :) Nothing is publicly posted on YouTube yet, but TEST#03 might be the first. ^_^
