Desco Infratech FY25 Concall Highlights:
👉FY 2026 & Future Outlook :
▫️Targeting revenue growth of ~90% for FY26 / FY27
▫️EBITDA margins are expected to remain stable at ~22.45% or potentially improve due to strategic initiatives like in-house contracting, reduced outsourcing costs, and the use of price escalation clauses to mitigate inflationary pressures
▫️Expects 90-100% growth in bottom-line as well for FY26
▫️Management positively acknowledged quarterly updates
👉Order book and pipeline:
▫️Current order book :
EPC - 240cr (~18 months execution)
O&M - 30cr (~24 months execution)
▫️125cr tender bids made (~30-40% conversion)
▫️Recently awarded 43-44cr in new contracts, with additional financial bids pending conclusion
▫️Pipeline:
💠 Expects the order book to grow to 500-525cr by the end of FY26, reflecting a 90-100% YoY growth for the next two years (driven by continuous bidding in City Gas Distribution (CGD) and emerging sectors like power transmission and water distribution)
💠Targeting 20-25% sales contribution from new regions (Coimbatore, Aurangabad, East Delhi, and deepened presence in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Haryana, and Tamil Nadu (up from 0.47%) within two years
💠Entering power transmission and water distribution, with initial progress in water projects in Madhya Pradesh and discussions for power projects. Aiming for 20% of order book from these segments by FY26
👉 Others :
▫️Price escalation clauses protect margins from inflationary pressures (e.g., steel price hikes)
▫️Involved in a labor union litigation as a vendor to Gujarat Gas, but as an attached party with no direct liability
▫️Working capital limit: 1.97cr (cash credit) and 5cr (bank guarantee) from Yes Bank. Discussions ongoing with other banks for debt syndication to support FY26 growth. IPO proceeds sufficient for current working capital needs, with additional debt planned for Q3 FY26
▫️ Plans moderate CapEx (e.g., 4-5 excavators) to reduce outsourcing costs, with details to be finalized in Q3 FY26
▫️Achieved an 82% increase in pipeline commissioning and 64% growth in domestic piped natural gas (PNG) conversions
▫️Operates an asset-light model, with reduced recurring costs by shifting employee expenses to contractual labor, leading to a 20% drop in other expenses
▫️Revenue recognition is tied to project milestones, with front-loaded activities (e.g., mobilization, design approvals) in the first 90-180 days and heavier billing in the latter half of the 18-month execution period, influenced by seasonal factors like monsoons
▫️Government targets increasing CGD penetration from 6% to 15% by 2030 and 25% by 2040, driving strong demand. Clients are aggressively pursuing these targets, ensuring a robust project pipeline
