Today’s video of Olive laden trees at Burg Pusht, Koh E Sulaiman, District Musakhail. Due to extremely favourable climate of Koh e Sulaiman, Olive crop of the area is competing at world level by all standards of quantity and quality.
@civilservicepun Priorities of other sections of society i.e public representatives, feudal, business etc may also be added for a balanced analysis. Present legislative arrangements show no space for scientists, engineers, social/ management sciences, medicine, space, agriculture, Maritime etc.
@Asad_Ashah One way of attracting investment will be to develop business enclaves and Special Economic Zones in the pattern of DHAs. In DHAs all hassle free services are provided in one window. DHA, Fuji foundation, askari bank can come up with an efficient online service for such business.
@CMOBalochistan A very good initiative. Next may be an air condition train between Dhadar and Jafarabad. People may be served to create a sense of being owned.
@Wabbasi007 Refinery business needs to be incentivised on the top.Petroleum Engineering in more engineering universities and Polytechnics.
Proximity of our ports to oil rich central Asia/midle east and energy staved south Asia and Far east can greatly contribute in national development.
Pakistan's Solar Revolt
Pakistan now has two power systems. One was planned by the state. The other was built by its consumers, and it is quietly undermining the first.
Between 2021 and 2025, Pakistan imported about 51 GW of solar panels (IEA, September 2026). By 2025, 28–38 GW of distributed capacity was in place, most of it on rooftops.
Why would millions spend their own money on this? Because the median Pakistani firm goes around 45 hours a month without grid electricity.
But their exit comes with a bill, and it lands on those who stay. Fixed capacity payments do not shrink when consumers leave. They are spread over fewer people, making grid power dearer and solar more attractive still.
Resisting solar will only accelerate the exodus. Grid, tariffs, DISCOs and regulation must be rebuilt around the reality consumers have created.
Grid design, tariffs, DISCOs, regulation and the market itself must be rebuilt around the reality consumers have already created.
The consumers have moved. The power system now has to catch up.

@Asad_Ashah Universities are victims of their non academic staff salaries and non productive departments.HEC may set an immediate rationalisation pattern for redirecting the resources to modern and marketable subjects.
@Asad_Ashah For any fresh and logical start, getting rid of IPPs, IMF and SOEs is obligatory. A nation paying commutative debts which are more than a war damages is victim of its own authority.
This is possible, economists have to debate and offer ways and means to overcome the debt trap.

@Asad_Ashah In fact every Government wants good governance. But they have their own definition, calibrated by the limitations of capacity and comprehension. Stretch of imagination cannot dispense with aptitude and professional acumen of practitioners perseverance.
@ExpressNewsPK Great news. Multiply by leaps and bounds to not allow cartels and monopolies.Connect with banks and Insurance for aggressive marketing with the country and abroad. Country needs hundreds of industrial clusters and university researches to be competitive in the growing EV markets
@PakWheels A liberal and innovative policy is required to shift to Electric Vehicles. Banks and Insurance be lined up for online EV car, truck, bus, boat, tractor and loader financing .
@AajKamranKhan Incentivise EV and solar cluster chair of production to not only reduce oil import but shift to green sustainable energy in all mobility, agriculture, sea and construction vehicles. The country has more than enough solar power but a poor and conservative industrial base.
@SaleemFarrukh Moving the society from August Comte’s mechanical stage to Organic stage requires a lot of organisational work and economic acumen. Transiting to organic stage requires interventions that promote comradeship of guilds over brotheries.
A 12-year-old boy from Khuzdar, Balochistan, arrived at NICVD in critical condition — with a bullet lodged inside his heart — after other hospitals reportedly declined to treat him.
The team at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases did not hesitate.
They performed a complex, life-saving cardiac surgery. The bullet was removed. The child is now recovering.
This is what a public-sector institution looks like when it works: skilled professionals, decisive leadership under Prof Tahir Saghir, and a paediatric cardiac surgery team led by Prof Sohail Khan Bangash that refused to give up when others could not take the risk.
In a country where we rightly criticise institutional failure, NICVD deserves recognition for proving that excellence in public healthcare is not impossible.
Well done, NICVD.
Pakistan needs more of this.
@Dr_RubabaBuledi Out sourcing operation of tertiary hospital’s and women University Colleges cafeteria/ canteen to women entrepreneurs will make a good and practical step to help business women move forward in conventionally men branded businesses.
@NthngMtrs That is a moral diagnosis. States thrive on Rule of law which is the harbinger of social values in a nation. Making it other-way round is extremely artificial.
