Dr. Gustavo A. Agudelo-Cantero (@GAgudeloC) is a Postdoc @CEESUiO!
Their talk "Phenotypic Plasticity of the Venom of the Green Lacewing (Neuroptera, Chrysoperla carnea): Does the Maternal Environment Matter?" is in our Diversity, Evolution and Ecology Session #GRSVenom24
A thread on the main findings of this important paper, by lead author @juliakemppinen
Great teamwork also together with @PieterDeFrenne and @K_VanMeerbeek and 97 participants to the first ME&B-conference

Gustavo Agudelo-Cantero is interested in understanding how physiological traits vary at the individual level and their importance in broader biological contexts. He investigates how these traits respond to natural selection through phenotypic plasticity and adaptation.
A three-year postdoc position is now available in our group at the University of Oslo on a very exciting project identifying toxin targets by mass spectrometry!

On 13 September at 4pm CET Marius Maurstad and Michel Dugon kick off the new season of EUVEN monthly seminars with talks on neuropteran venom and scorpionism. Free registration at https://t.co/IQRttsrB41 @Michel_Dugon @MaurstadMarius @EUVENAction
Venom boy & PhD candidate @MaurstadMarius rocking at #VenOx23 with his impressive talk about pangenomics & venomics of our dearest lacewings 🤩🤩🤩
@CEESUiO@biovitenskap
We’re back from the break! Now with Mr Marius Maurstad from University of Oslo presenting Pangenomic insights into the molecular basis of the venom system in the green lacewing
Our final speaker before the break is Mr Anders Isaksen from University of Oslo presenting Ant venom evolution: insights from the genetically hyperdiverse greenhead ant, Rhytidoponera metallica
Now we have Dr Eivind Undheim from University of Oslo presenting Exaptation of an evolutionary constraint enables behavioural control over centipede venom composition
