This was during his tenure as Governor of Kaduna State when his convoy ran into a siege laid by bandits on Abuja - Kaduna road.

Commuters were stranded and vehicles parked. Fear reigned supreme.

Governor Nasir El-Rufai did not order his convoy to blow the siren and speed pass. No. He stopped his convoy, alighted from his vehicle and alongside his security team went on foot towards the source of the danger, even as the stranded and fear stricken onlookers were shouting at him to ''come back Mallam"! "come back Mallam"! He continued.

This is not an AI generated video neither was the video shot by his media aides or 2k data boys.

This is the same @elrufai who some idiots say is a bandit sponsor.
This is the same El-Rufai who they say paid bandits as Governor and some clowns believe.
This is the same El-Rufai who they killed Southern Kaduna people and persecuted and killed Christians.
This is the same El-Rufai that some losers love to hate.

I have since come to verifiably realise and to conclude that the only people who hate Nasir El-Rufai are ethnic and/or religious bigots, betrayal, bush and urban bandits and their sponsors.

All those suffering from El-Rufai Derangement Syndrome (EDS) should tell us who their own fathers and Governors were/are and what they did and are doing during their own time.

In the name of Allah SWT, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful. If running again will not be in the interest of the excellent people of Kaduna North and Nigerians as whole. Then may God give it to another. In the coming weeks, I will be going around by the grace of God to engage the people of Kaduna North in their homes and streets, as well as the stakeholders of our party, the African Democratic Congress, (ADC). I am not entitled to anything and I will work as hard as I can and always do to state our record and convince the public. We will do this while willing to support whoever emerges in the primary election. Regardless of the outcome we will campaign for the candidates in our party with the precision, honesty and transparency we are known for. Press Release: Our father, Mallam Nasir @elrufai, is still being held by the ICPC. Today, 15 May 2026, we witnessed two distinct yet equally serious attacks on his basic rights. First, his personal Doctor visited the ICPC at about 3pm to discuss the results of medical tests recently conducted on our father. Officials at the agency blocked the doctor from seeing him, claiming that written permission from the ICPC Chairman was required. This directly flouts a clear court order granting Mallam Nasir El‑Rufai unrestricted access to his doctors.

Second, his wife, Aunty Aichatou, brought his evening meal at around 7pm as she normally does. ICPC personnel turned her away, saying they had orders not to permit food deliveries after 6:30pm. This arbitrary rule is no less offensive than blocking his right to medical care.

These acts are an outright assault on the rule of law and a clear violation of our father's constitutional and human rights. No lawful detention justifies denying medical access or refusing basic family care based on an arbitrary curfew fixed by the ICPC. Shame on them as an institution.

We demand that all his constitutional rights be fully respected. We will no longer accept this pattern of intimidation dressed up as protocol. The ICPC must abide by the very laws it claims to enforce.
