Bang Chan, (#BangChan)
I’m back.
Yes, I’m back. You thought I was gone-gone, didn’t you? Yeah, you did! 🙃 Did I scare you? Hurt you? Good. Now you know how I feel watching you flirt.
Your behavior has been escalating, and when it does, I deescalate.
And now you’re letting people physically touch you? Excuse me? Absolutely not.
I need to speak with Christopher. Now.
Christopher? Sit down. Again. And 🤫!
So, Christopher, lovingly, there are a few things I need you to understand.
I’m not asking you to become somebody else. I never have. I don’t want less of you—I want all of you. The sarcastic you. The cocky you. The goofy, ridiculous, dorky, affectionate, caring, passionate, serious, emotional you. Every version. Be yourself. I love that you are all of those things.
But being yourself doesn't mean giving everyone access to every part of you. You need boundaries. Hard ones. And you need to actually keep them.
You don't need to flirt with strangers. You don't need boyfriend or husband language. You don't need sexual innuendos. You don't need to answer invasive questions or reward people for pushing boundaries. You can joke. You can tease. You can be warm. You can make people laugh. You can be completely yourself without creating romantic ambiguity.
Because some things belong inside an actual intimate relationship. That kind of language, that kind of intimacy, that kind of access to your body and private self should be reserved for your partner—not handed out to strangers because they ask for it.
And before anybody else says I have some imaginary version of you in my head: the version of you I have and want is the one where you are completely yourself. I don't want to sanitize you. I don't want to control you. I don't want you afraid to joke, laugh, or be affectionate. I want you to protect the parts of yourself that are actually precious.
I'm going to show you exactly what you're feeding.
Look at this. (Pictures on Threads)
The first one is from an eight-year-old last year. The second one is from someone who is openly dehumanizing you while a seventy-year-old joins in.
You're feeding THAT.
These are the kinds of behaviors you're rewarding when you participate in this dynamic.
People sexualizing you. Objectifying you. Treating your body like public property. Talking about you like you're a boyfriend, husband, fantasy, or possession. This is all PREDATORY.
Then you turn around and give them MORE.
And now we're talking about your physical boundaries.
You've said yourself:
“There are things that you’re allowed to do, and there are things you’re not supposed to do.”
And:
“You respect me, I will respect you.”
You've also repeatedly told fans you couldn't take your shirt off when they screamed for you to do it because there were children watching and it wasn't appropriate.
Then Rio happened. What about the kids, Chris? Remember you are feeding into an incredibly young audience.
You took your shirt off—something you've repeatedly said you couldn't do. Then you went on Bubble afterward and admitted you got a little too excited and couldn't help yourself because of the heat.
And your pants? What the hell is wrong with you? Why are you wearing them so low? Want to see what people are saying?
I'll show you. They wanna see that "dih."
(Pictures on Threads)
Go on, look. And don't tell me this is just you doing your "job," because the last I knew, you were just a regular dude from Sydney who loves music—not auditioning for Magic Mike.
So tell me, Christopher—where did these boundaries go?
And yes, I've seen the footage of people physically touching you too. What's with the more intimate hugs now? Letting people grab your waist? Touch your chest?
Stop being so desperate for connection. It's dangerous. You want real? Be real. I've been here for almost four years.
So, Chris... What really happened to "You respect me, I will respect you"?
