We can’t let the historic opportunity created by the Infrastructure Bill be a missed opportunity for New York. A plan that spends LESS on rebuilding our roads and bridges across New York would be just that. Albany, we can and must do better.
We commend @SenSchumer for once again delivering for the MTA and the riding public. While this money is for operating expenses, it will allow the MTA to advance its essential capital program of infrastructure projects.

A new report out today @TRIP_Inc shows the avg driver in NYC Metro area loses $3,192/year as a result of driving on roads that are deteriorated, congested, and that lack desirable safety features. Roads in poor condition also impact buses, bicyclists and pedestrians.
We thank and congratulate @GovKathyHochul and wholeheartedly support her infrastructure efforts, and we look forward to work with her and her team to carry it out.

Transit access to one of the busiest airports in the country is finally on its way! Congrats to Rick Cotton @panynj@FAA and the millions of travelers who will benefit from the AirTrain to LGA for decades to come.
GCA Executive Director Robert Wessels joined MTA C&D President Janno Lieber and other industry and union leaders in thanking both Contractors and their unionized workforce who worked safely throughout the pandemic and kept NY's economy running and ready for the future.
The GCA thanks @SenSchumer, @secretarypete, @Amtrak Chair Tony Coscia, and the NY & NJ Delegations for getting Gateway moving. The clock is ticking on the 110 year old Sandy-damaged tunnels, which even if fully restored, are inadequate for 21st Century Northeast Corridor travel.
Gateway is a game-changer for the City, the Region and the Nation. It will take a system built for 20th Century travel and transform it into one that will meet the mobility needs of the 21st Century — and beyond. #BuildGateway
