I am the superintendent of schools for the Greenfield-Central Schools, We serve 4500 students in a small town setting 15 miles east of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Many “thanks” to the GC maintenance and custodial teams for all the extra time and effort they invested to get our school sites ready for students today. We are grateful!
It’s a cold January day, which makes it the perfect setting for a night of Indiana high school basketball. GC hosts New Castle in a women’s/men’s varsity matchup beginning at 6PM.
Our boys basketball program had another amazing season. I am incredibly proud of the players and coaches for their hard work and perseverance. Last night’s crowd was a testament to the pride our community has for you. I want to thank you for all of the fantastic memories.
Greenfield-Central is on a 2-hour delay schedule today due to dense fog in many areas within our borders.
We experienced some challenges with Parent Square notifications today, and some families only received text notification (not a phone call).
Due to extreme weather conditions, GC is adjusting the calendar for Friday, December 23rd. Instead of having school on-site, we will have an asynchronous eLearning Day. Teachers will post tasks for students by 10AM on Friday.
More information will follow from your child’s school.
Congratulations to G-C social worker, Tammi Broadus, for being named Administrator of the Year by the Simon Youth Foundation.
The work she is doing each day at The Academy is having a profound, positive impact on our students.
I want to thank all of our teachers & parents who participated in parent/teacher conferences yesterday at Greenfield Intermediate, Maxwell Intermediate, and Weston Elementary.
Conferences will be held at JB Stephens and Greenfield Central Junior High this afternoon.
