If you block the pavement, why should I be forced into the road?
“Just cross” isn’t an answer — not everyone can, and not every kerb is accessible.
And if parking fully on the road blocks emergency vehicles… then guess what? You can’t park there.
Pavements are for people.

@jan_murray Yes. I’ve had ‘just ring your midwife’. I’ve hardly seen her and have no way of contacting her specifically, it’s all through a centralised hub where I have to leave a voicemail. Messages are often not returned. Emergency line once answered by a (very apologetic) cleaner.

@woriadsmasking @bbuk Agree. I wish men’s right to male spaces and dignity was a bigger part of the conversation. It’s not the same from a safety point of view but dignity matters for both sexes. Most elderly men I know would be extremely upset to realise this is happening.

@jan_murray Navigating maternity care with a ‘high risk’ pregnancy and it’s similarly abysmal. As you say, there’s no accountability. No communication. Left feeling vulnerable and unsafe. No sense of collaboration in my care, coercive, scaremongering. Awful.

@DISCOD00D @peterrhague It is happening. Most of us who visit local parks around the country have seen evidence of birds having been butchered and sometimes cooked at the site. RSPCA don’t know anything about it because they can’t waste resources after the act or trying to find a long gone culprit.

@LBC Many of these men are coming from cultures where sexual violence is the norm and often they have ‘pornified’ perceptions of western women. Western men are more likely to know us and attack us but ‘stranger attacks’ are far more likely from the regressive cultures.
