We are G (Messines) Coy, an Army Reserve infantry company, part of the @Scots_Guards and @GuardsReserve. Join us for paid military training in your spare time.
This week, Pte Polly Milsom of G (Messines) Coy has been training with @BritArmyCycling in Cyprus.
“A typical day started with yoga, followed by a ride, and ending in the gym. It has been a great experience to train with the other girls in the team” said Pte Milsom.
Burns Night will always be important for A (London Scottish) Company, the London Regiment. Burns was an Army Reservist himself, and did you know Burns’ famous poem, A Man's a Man for A' That, includes reference to Hodden Grey, the London Scottish tartan? Happy Burns Night! 🏴🇬🇧🥃
Now part of the @London_Regt - the reserve battalion for @the5Guards - we are still an active light role infantry unit in London and have deployed on operations around the world in recent years.

Hallowe’en is the most important day of the year for the London Scottish.
Over a century ago, we were the first reservists to fight in WWI. Having continued to serve our country in conflicts since, today we remember all those who gave their lives in battle.
106 yrs ago, on Halloween 1914, the @LdnScottishRegt became the first Army Reserve unit to see action in the First World War
At Messines, near Ypres in Belgium, they stood outnumbered but held their position. They have celebrated this date each year since, remembering the fallen
Since 1914 our serving soldiers and veterans have continued the tradition and mark Hallowe'en by remembering all those from the regiment who gave their life in battle.
They can't meet in person this year but will still raise a glass in remembrance 🥃
