@mrjrcasual @ianbremmer As for Russia, they are unlikely to be shipping air defenses to Iran any time soon. But they would seem to have no shortage of Shaheed and Geran drones and could likely spare a few hundred: enough to cut off the Strait again should it come to that.

@mrjrcasual @ianbremmer I think you fundamentally underestimate the value to China of discouraging US attacks on Iran by bolstering Iranian military capabilities. And the value of forcing the US to hoard their stocks of advanced missiles and air defense systems rather than supplying Taiwan. (1/2)
