4-year-old Stone Hicks battling end-stage kidney disease gets his wish of becoming a police officer in Orlando, Florida.
Stone has been battling kidney disease since he was a baby. His father even donated one of his kidneys to Stone 2 years ago.
The Orlando Police Department decided to welcome Stone to their team who is now an honorary police officer.
"Our kids go through so much when they battle their critical illness, so we’re really here to celebrate him and give him that hope, strength and joy in his life,” said Make-A-Wish Northern & Central Florida Anne Cuba.
"Him being in the police cars, rushing to the bad guys and arresting them, it was a full-on experience for him, one I’m sure he won’t forget," said Stone's father.
Putting love into the world comes back 3xs as much… thankful for everyone who has reached out and prayed. This will make me stronger on the road to recovery, keep praying for me! 🫶🏾3️⃣
Just spoke with Damar Hamlin’s uncle. Damar was originally on 100% oxygen and is now down to 50%. Says the family is hanging in there. He thanked Bills fans, and Bengals fans and asked for continued prayers
Shoutout to Dan Orlovsky for not just saying thoughts & prayers but actually stopping NFL Live to bow his head, close his eyes, and pray for Damar Hamlin.
Kudos to you, @danorlovsky7 👏
Please share this video. It’s been going around. This is Damar Hamlin and his toy drive charity. His gofundme has raised over $700,000 tonight. 🙏🙏🙏 https://t.co/zzSQkGpbYQ
