Man, it's tough. When I said l've never seen anything like this, I'm referring to a player and three rules officials arguing in waist high grass for 30mins.
I've definitely seen similar situations not be penalized. He got behind the ball to look over the shot like anyone else would. The grass he pressed down was not directly behind the ball. He definitely did not improve his lie, the argument is whether he improved his backswing. Bryson's argument is that he ended up taking a line more to the left anyway AND he had to take it so far up on the backswing, that the grass he “matted down” wasn’t in the way of his backswing or downswing.
I understand what both sides are trying to say. I don’t think Bryson tried to cheat. He just chopped it out anyway and made bogey. Based on the evidence I’ve seen, it’s a ticky tack ruling by the R&A. And it also bothers me that he can’t be the only one who did that this week, but every shot Bryson hits is on camera. I wouldn’t have assessed Bryson a penalty if I was an official.
Wow!! Thursday is going to be very ugly for places like Buffalo, Erie, Syracuse, New York City, Philadelphia, all of New Jersey and many other locations where the smoke will be thick enough to cut with a knife. HRRR hourly "Near Surface Smoke" product through Thursday 15z.
WOW: This is insane. You're looking at our current live camera overlooking Rochester, New York. This image is untouched, not edited or oversaturated in any way. The wildfire smoke situation right now is very reminiscent of 2023 when it got so bad.

When Flock turns off replies, its Chief Information Security Officer is caught lying to a city council, and its CEO blocks questions from the public, the real question isn't why people distrust @Flock_Safety... it's why the company thinks it's earned the public's trust.
Anthony Volpe: “When I was getting optioned, I told Boonie I’d play catcher. I’d do literally whatever the team needed, and that’s the truth.”
Volpe said he was caught off guard by the story that he refused to play second base.
The Knicks need Andre Drummond to rebound the basketball and set screens.
* Drummond has the highest rebound rate (24.9%) in NBA history
and
* Drummond led the NBA in screen assists (7.3) and screen-assist points (17.9) per-36 minutes in the 2026 playoffs

Jim Abbott was a career .095 hitter. He didn't have a right hand"
