The GEA Negotiations team and Administration have reached a tentative agreement for the 24/25 contract! Shout out to everyone’s hard work. We will hold a ratification meeting this Friday.

Public mtg held during school board to open negotiations. No public comment was given so the public mtg was closed. We may now begin informal negotiations. The team will meet in the next couple of weeks.

Parent engagement grant for 500,000 over 5 years. It will involve professional development, allow some state and national connections, and help us apply policies. The group overseeing will help apply these. This was approved.

Committee reports- park board is meeting the first Monday of the month. Athletic met- board has minutes. We had an athlete qualify for girl’s wrestling state.

It was asked do you think this is what is best for kids? The answer was yes. Ms. DeMeyer feels daily instruction is better and opportunity for the double blocks allows students to be able to get in real life experiences in high school.

It was asked what teacher reaction was. There was some worry about change but also excitement about seeing students daily and the flexibility to combine classes. This would also help use staff more efficiently.
