Here's a couple of promises:
- I will never, ever take these moments for granted
- Like the players, always push myself to do better, and give the best analysis, in game or out
- Champion APAC S with the time & respect it deserves in #ALGS
Thank you for all the support❤️
It's that time of year for my @PlayApexEsports LAN Guides! Tried to add some notes this year for each team to try and help give a basic guide of how the teams work and 1-2 weak points to keep an eye on. 5-6 weeks' worth of work so really excited for you all to check them out!!
Alison Wonderland REALLY remixed the Lavender Town theme and dropped it live at Pokémon Night Out at the Intuit Dome in LA tonight 🔥
Pokémon ravers are living in the future.

A bit of an insane update to Champs Qualification Odds. With certain teams requiring subs due to visa issues this opens the door for players from eliminated teams to continue to gain champs points.
The biggest examples are Floating subbing for Wolves and Albralelie subbing for Team WaR.
Previously these players original teams were all but eliminated from champs. DKR (Floating) had a 0.42% chance to qual and Stallions had a 0.01% chance. Both needing an INSANELY low cutoff.
But with these players playing in Vegas they can earn points which WILL add to their original teams totals.
This sees DKRs champs qualification odds jump from 0.42% -> ~89% and Stallions odds jump from 0.01% -> ~47%
Naturally this also negatively affects the qualification chances of all other teams with those two back in the mix to potentially limit the spots even further.
Quite an interesting story line we have heading into Vegas.
We shall see who all ends up subbing and if they can manage to get their team into champs because of it
The more your esport relies on RNG, the less appropriate MP/Checkmate is, and the fairer series scoring is.
Part of the appeal for MP where it was coined in Apex, was that endgames really can be won by anyone, which means MP = exciting finish 99% of the time.
How often does this happen in TFT? At least some of the time a player has an unassailable lead, or even hits a giga aug that can suck the hype out of the lobby.
Ofc, the biggest negative of MP is that the 'best' player on the day can end up not winning. I think if you work out what % of time it's a positive hype moment, and balance that against the feel-good moment of the (actual) best player on the day winning, you can arrive at an answer.
Thanks Apex Fam 🫶
That's it from me, at least for now. I won't be casting at Vegas, and seems unlikely going forward.
What a time huh... 🥹 I'm super proud of what I've achieved with Apex esports. I'd dreamt of making a living from esports for a long time, and regardless of what happens next, Apex made that dream come true and I'll always be grateful for that. I loved it, I lived it, 365 days a year for the last 5+ years. Passion goes a long way.
I made it to 10 LANs, including every EA-run ALGS LAN to date, and had the privilege of casting or analysing the finals for every single one of them.
Apex is such a killer esport. It has all the ingredients to become an even bigger success than it already is. Never a dull game. A sublime combination of micro & macro. Always someone to cheer for - Apex esports is at its best when it's celebrating that diversity of talent from around the globe.
Shoutout to all the awesome players & coaches that have given me time over the years. It was great being able to share some laughs, pick your brains, and share some of that brilliance with the world.
A special thanks to all of the Aussie pros, I have followed many esports over the years, and to my mind, Apex is THE most successful Australia has ever been at an esport. Being able to tell those stories and being along for the ride at the same time was incredibly fulfilling 🇦🇺
To the beautiful talent team, what a crew. Every event felt like getting paid to spend a week with friends. You are all my Roman Empire 🥰
I've still got a lot to say, about Apex, about casting & the wider esports industry. I've spent all of my time in these past years trying to be the best caster I can, as well as thinking about broadcast improvements working with Long Shot & EWC. Perhaps now I'll have some time to look into learning some editing/content creation and share my thoughts that way. Hopefully you'll see me pop up somewhere else, but the reality is esports opportunities are few and far between right now.
I'd love to put my hefty amount of passion and experience to work somewhere in the industry. I'm open to talent roles (esports award + emmy nominated btw), broadcast/production roles (most innovative Apex broadcasts to date btw) or even to try out some aura-farming (coachless teams plz enquire). Email in bio for any inquiries, or reach out via DM. Happy to have a chat with anyone who thinks I could help 🙂
TL;DR Won't be casting again any time soon. Esports man for sale to highest bidder. Apex still the best esport
@RSPN_JayBiebs Means a lot.
Being able to chat to devs was a special part of the LAN experience (especially for @Gracefulfps 😂). The scene is lucky to have devs like you, who clearly love and understand the esport ❤️
@CountAustin1 Apex comp will be fine 🙂 While I don't agree with this choice (obviously), the scene is brimming with great storylines & a bunch of killer talent. It's sitting in the top 10 most played games on steam right now, with updates coming. I don't see a reason to be doomer about it.
