It seems like everyone in the world hates America - no matter what we do for them - how many of the world’s countries come to support the children in the United States? The United States has always helped the world in so many ways - and will continue over time I am sure as it is our nature to be caring and generous. The politics being perpetrated by the Washington Post in this instance is shameful - especially using the death of a 3-year-old boy implying that it’s the US's governance policy of foreign aid at fault.

Note the picture associated with the Washington Post’s post (Photos by Carolyn Van Houlery/The Washington Post) stating “Trump’s cuts have been deadly.”

Basically, what the Washington Post is implying is this: If a person donated every month to a shelter and then one day didn’t donate. The lack of a donation would be the root cause of all future issues at that shelter and the person who no longer donated would be responsible.

When will media outlets get back to real factual unbiased reporting?

US Foreign Aid is given because the US has a humanitarian perspective about life everywhere on the planet and in 99.9% of all cases America refuses to look the other way. Still, for our generosity of being there for the global community we are continually criticized on the world stage as not doing enough.

The U.S. has been providing foreign aid to other countries since 1812, expanding its efforts significantly after World War II, with major programs like the Marshall Plan. Between 1946 and 2023, the U.S. spent an average of $51.4 billion each year on foreign aid.

In 2022, the U.S. provided nearly $74 billion in aid to over 150 countries and territories.

In 2023, the U.S. supported programs in 177 individual countries and 29 regions.

The U.S. has engaged in nearly 400 military interventions between 1776 and 2023 securing global economic stability.

If the United States of America ever decided to turn its back on the rest of the world it would be a far worse planet to live on.

Embrace America for what it does for the good of the world and appreciate whatever help the US provides.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not Artificial Consciousness – it is not self-aware and does not act independently. It does what the developers program/train it to do. It is simply a complex tool.

Someday AI will be able to solve big problems for the world. Its ability to quickly collect and collate information and synthesize conclusions is real. The only real threat from AI we face today is its use by bad human actors to perpetrate nefarious activities such as Deep Fakes, Scams, and Election Interference/fraud.

People have had the ability to create independent agents that can execute complex tasks since the 1970’s. Advanced systems that can rewrite their own code without human intervention using machine learning to some extent have been around since the internet began. Many of these AI capabilities take the form of computer viruses and trojan horse software among other types of products from the Internet.

Even AI applied as an expert system must learn all about the subject to provide anything useful. Any creation of biological medicine, weapons, automated warfare, or autonomous cyberattacks, all must be orchestrated by humans that train AI if it is to achieve any significant outcome.

An AI system with all the knowledge in the world in its database doesn’t CREATE good or bad outcomes; it is the intent installed by humans to use that information to create or synthesize new original outcomes for good or bad.

The companies who advocate regulation are looking for a shield from liability for their products which in turn would allow them to freely develop their products without consequence. There has already been excuses from the AI tech companies that their products performed with unintended consequences. These tech companies should show responsibility for their actions through self-regulation and stop or pause projects they deem too risky. Slow-moving government legislation will not fix the problems.

I have heard consistent and intense rhetoric providing dire warnings about AI throughout September 2026 primarily from the Democrat party. Since it is roughly 60 days before the November midterm elections— this fearmongering is highly suspect.

I believe that this is a highly organized push by media outlets and tech companies to create more divisiveness in the public consciousness through inuendo, misinformation, and direct fabrication to not only push markets but to compress competition within those markets.

Humankind faces real problems in this world without falling prey to all the chicken littles who easily panic, warning us that a disaster is coming, when there is no real danger.

Like the Chicken Little story, the real danger is the fear itself generated by the Sky is Falling Rhetoric.

Choose real Science over fictional disasters.

Why are people even protesting ICE? ICE is performing law enforcement put in place by a bi-partisan congress and must be enforced by the current executive branch. So they should not be out there protesting and could end up in prison for obstruction of justice. This is a simple reality.
