Today,in the UK, Prime Minister Kier Starmer had to tender his resignation as prime minister and Labour party leader since his party lost faith in him!
This happens in mature democracies, back home,an old man who's enjoying the trappings of power by being a son to the first vice president and brother to an enigma has decided to auction the party to the highest bidder despite being unable to smoothly run the party.
Edwin Sifuna symbolises the kind of hope traversing the Kenyan political space and change is inevitable.
#SisiNdioSifuna
Many of us welcome this moment because ODM, as we once knew it, has drifted far from the principles that inspired millions of Kenyans, democracy, integrity, accountability, and the rule of law.
At the heart of this contradiction stands Senator Edwin Watenya Sifuna, a leader whose convictions, courage, and commitment to the people cannot comfortably coexist with a political culture that has abandoned its founding ideals. The ideological distance between the two visions is clear for all to see.
Since the birth of Linda Mwananchi, our rallies, engagements, and conversations across the country have reflected one undeniable reality: Sifuna has become the People's SG, not by title alone, but because he lives in the hopes and aspirations of ordinary Kenyans. Day by day, his star continues to rise.
A new political era is emerging. The departure of Baba from center stage marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. We now march forward carrying one of his greatest legacies, the belief that leadership belongs to the people.
Sisi Ndio Sifuna.
This is not merely a slogan. It is a declaration that a new generation is ready to lead, organize, and transform Kenya. New wine cannot be contained in old wineskins.
Linda Mwananchi stands ready to help usher in a new era of political consciousness, civic courage, and national liberation. The season ahead will demand conviction, discipline, loyalty to the people, and the courage to challenge the status quo.
History is moving. The question is not whether change is coming.
The question is who is prepared to build it.

🚨 JUST IN 🚨
FIFA will apologize to Iran following their disallowed goal versus Belgium. Mehdi Taremi thought he'd given his side the lead following a smartly worked free kick, followed by a tidy finish from the striker, just out of reach of Courtois' outstretched arm.
The decision of offside was given on field before there was a subsequent VAR check where the goal was confirmed as offside. However, FIFA have revealed there were several errors which led to the goal being wrongfully disallowed. The first being the VAR team marking out their lines based off the wrong player, and Taremi was in fact being kept onside by a Belgium defender when the free kick was taken.
The VAR team quickly realized this once play had restarted, but it was too late to correct the mistake. Iran feel this was done intentionally by FIFA, believing that with the US as the hosts, they have been told to try and have them eliminated from the competition at the earliest opportunity, and that they don't care how obvious it is that that's the case."

Article 246 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 was enacted to create a professional, accountable and all-inclusive police service.National Police Service Commision (NPSC) was meant to be a robust institution that guides and refines national police service.
Though the law is clear, nothing is clearer to the Inspector General of police (IGP) and beneficiaries of an opaque police force.Criminals high up there need a brutal one-man-show police force to survive.
V-power was added to the Coup against the Constitution by the Court that held that the IGP was the NPSC and vice versa.
Just ask yourself as I do if there is any confusion in Article 246 COK.
Time we become serious as a nation and stop this madness between IGP and NPSC.
Kenyans need a professional police service that takes care of police welfare and needs who in turn offer professional security to Kenyans.
Enough is enough.
Nyainda Manasseh was born and raised in Nandi County and began school at Nandi Hills Township, where his acerbic wit and strong performance in English and arts made him top his class. That earned him admission to Kapsabet Boys High School, but his poor background nearly shattered his dream.
While Physics and Math challenged him, fees became the bigger obstacle when his sister joined Kapsabet Girls. Overwhelmed, his family had to transfer him to a different school to complete his studies.
Quick He joined Kenyatta University in September 2015 to study Public Policy and Administration, but cash-strapped parents meant he could only attend first semesters, then miss terms to raise fees during long May-August holidays. When his younger sister joined JKUAT, Nyainda made the bold decision to defer his own studies so she could continue.
His skillful, creative writing soon caught the eye of Churchill Odhiambo, who welcomed him to Orange House during the 2017 elections. He worked with the ODM Dispute Tribunal Board, built key connections, and in 2018 joined KANU as a communication assistant, slowly rising through the ranks.
Through humility and hard work, Nyainda built a close working relationship with KANU party leader Gideon Moi. In mid-2023, Moi appointed him Director of Communication for KANU, citing his versatility and skills. Along the way, Nyainda’s writing earned him a Konrad Adenauer Foundation scholarship.
He graduated with a distinction in Public Relations from St. Paul’s University and later completed a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Kenyatta University in 2021. His journey from pauper to prince has inspired hundreds of congratulatory messages, proving that for children of the poor, education remains the only shot at a dignified life. Enyewe Maisha ni connections!
In 1879, a simple Egyptian peasant woman named Mubarka Khafaji from a village in Kafr El-Sheikh married a farmer, Ibrahim Atta, who worked for daily wages. Due to financial hardship, he divorced her even though she was in the final months of her pregnancy.
Mubarka moved with her mother and brother to Alexandria, where she gave birth to her son, Ali Ibrahim Atta. She made a firm decision to do everything possible to raise and educate him in the best way.
She had countless reasons to despair and grow bitter toward men, but she did not. She could have forced her son into child labor selling tissues at traffic lights, but instead she worked as a cheese seller in the streets of Alexandria to support him.
She enrolled her son Ali in the Ras El-Tin Primary School. After he completed primary education, his father came to take him away to make him work with only a basic certificate.
But Mubarka’s dreams were much greater. She secretly moved her son from the roof of her house to the neighboring roof and fled with him to Cairo, enrolling him in the Khedivial School in Darb El-Gamamiz. She worked for a family in order to fund his education.
Ali excelled in his studies and was admitted to medical school in 1897, graduating in 1901.
Fifteen years later, Sultan Hussein Kamel fell seriously ill, and doctors were unable to diagnose his condition. Dr. Othman Ghaleb suggested the name of Dr. Ali Ibrahim. He successfully performed a critical surgery, after which he was appointed as the Sultan’s chief surgical consultant and personal physician, receiving the title of "Bey."
In 1922, King Fouad I granted him the title of "Pasha."
In 1929, Dr. Ali Pasha Ibrahim became the first Egyptian dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Fouad I University (Cairo University). He later became the university’s president.
In 1940, he was appointed Minister of Health. In the same year, he founded the Egyptian Medical Syndicate and became its first president. He also served as a member of the Egyptian Parliament.
His mother was: An uneducated, rural, divorced peasant woman.
Yet she raised a son who changed history.
The reform of any society begins with a mother.
Salute to every mother who is a true school of life.
🚨 Reporter Thierry Henry asks Lamine Yamal which country he will be supporting to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup apart from Spain:
🎙️ Thierry Henry:
“Lamine, if Spain don’t win the World Cup, which country would you like to see become champions?”
🗣️ Lamine Yamal:
“First of all, I hope Spain wins it.
That is my country and my dream.
But if Spain cannot do it, I would probably support PORTUGAL 🇵🇹.”
🎙️ Thierry Henry:
“Why Portugal?”
🗣️ Lamine Yamal:
“They have an incredible team with quality in every position.
They have experience, young talent and players who know how to handle the pressure of big tournaments.
For many years they have been among the strongest teams in world football.”
🎙️ Thierry Henry:
“Is Cristiano Ronaldo part of the reason?”
🗣️ Lamine Yamal::
“Of course.
Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest players to ever play the game and I have a lot of respect for him.
Every young footballer has learned something from watching him including MESSI.
His mentality, discipline and desire to keep improving are unbelievable.
Even now he continues to inspire players around the world.
I think it would be special to see him win the FIFA World Cup. He has achieved almost everything in football and that would be the perfect ending to an incredible career.”
🎙️ Thierry Henry:
“So PORTUGAL 🇵🇹 would be your choice?”
🗣️ Lamine Yamal:
“Yes. Spain first, always.
But if not Spain, then I would love to see PORTUGAL 🇵🇹 and CRISTIANO RONALDO lift the 2026 FIFA World Cup.”

Tommorow, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will resign and he is to outline a timetable for his departure.
He is to explain, amongs other things, what happened with £100 million (Ksh 17.7 billion) the UK directly gave Kenya.
And the Defence Cooperation Agreement (DCA), which has also expired. BATUK keeps on operating on a system of impunity.
Also, why UK-Kenya Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) faces heavy domestic criticism for locking Kenya into a neo-colonial trade dynamic
BREAKING: British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is expected to resign on Monday and outline a timetable for his departure, according to UK media reports.

A majority of Kenyans have continued to extend their hands to support Joel, an American passport holder and former US Navy worker who’s now stranded in Malindi. He was allegedly defrauded of over Ksh 80 million by his Kenyan partner Martha.
After selling his Ksh 100 million house in Dublin for a comfortable retirement, Joel bought property with Martha but now faces a demand letter from her lawyer ordering him to vacate the house until the court decides the case. Joel risks being evicted and is currently homeless, penniless, and relying on well-wishers.
A member of the Rotary Club of Malindi has offered him unlimited accommodation, and we’re grateful to the “Father of Dogs” for his legal guidance and for standing with Joel physically in court.
This case highlights a painful reality at the Kenyan coast where foreigners lose their lifetime’s savings to fake relationships and get stranded in a foreign land. Joel lost everything he built in just 4 months. We pray the U.S. Embassy Nairobi steps in to help one of their own.
The ongoing case is scheduled for Wednesday next week in Malindi, and we urge anyone who can to show up and support humanity. Aki huyo mzungu anakiona kweli…
Sen Okiya Omtatah told the Senate that under President Ruto’s four-year administration, approximately Sh4.8 trillion had been borrowed without parliamentary approval — a figure he argued exceeds what was borrowed during Uhuru Kenyatta’s entire eight-year tenure.
He described this as “odious debt” and tabled 93 official documents, including Appropriation Acts from 2014 onwards, to demonstrate the pattern of unconstitutional borrowing
The Embassy wishes to inform Kenyan nationals in the UAE that the Government of the UAE has announced a 30-day visa grace period for eligible individuals affected by recent regional flight disruptions. This is intended to enable affected individuals to regularize their residence status or depart the UAE without incurring overstay penalties. The grace period is valid until 9th July 2026.
The Embassy therefore encourages all eligible Kenyans to take advantage of this opportunity to regularize their immigration status and remain in the UAE lawfully, or to make the necessary arrangements to depart the country before the deadline without attracting overstay fines.
Affected Kenyans are advised to check their visa status immediately and complete any required visa renewal, status change or departure procedures as soon as possible and no later than 9th July 2026.
