Telegram's Gram Wallet could change how billions interact with crypto
After listening to the full @ston_fi AMA from August 20, one idea stood out to me:
The biggest opportunity may not be another DeFi product.
It may be making crypto feel invisible.
The AMA brought together teams building directly around Telegram and TON:
✓ Gram Store: A launchpad for Telegram Mini Apps using periodic auctions, helping projects discover demand, raise initial capital, and launch with liquidity on https://t.co/t0haOEGdFp.
✓ DTrade: Turning Telegram into a trading terminal with sniping, copy trading, limit orders, and automated execution.
✓ WenLong: Bringing Hyperliquid trading into Telegram, with users able to fund and trade using assets across TON and EVM chains through Omniston.
But then comes the bigger question:
What exactly is Pavel Durov preparing with the Gram Wallet?
We don't know yet.
But if the direction is what many are anticipating, Telegram could make crypto dramatically more seamless:
✓ Non-custodial wallets directly inside Telegram
✓ Gasless or sponsored transactions
✓ Onchain actions embedded into Mini Apps
✓ Easier access to DeFi and cross-chain liquidity
✓ Payments and in-app transactions without constantly connecting external wallets
✓ A smoother path from Telegram users to onchain activity
And this is where things get really interesting.
The future of crypto adoption may not be about teaching billions of people how to use blockchain.
It may be about making blockchain something they don't need to think about.
✓ Trade.
✓ Earn.
✓ Pay.
✓ Play.
✓ Invest.
✓ Launch.
✓ Transfer.
All from an environment they already use.
Telegram already has the distribution.
TON provides the infrastructure.
The real question is:
What happens when Telegram and TON finally feel like one seamless experience?
That could be far more significant than another wallet launch.
What do you think could drive the next TON resurgence?
Better UX, DeFi, Mini Apps, trading, payments, or something nobody is expecting yet?
