Diseases like cholera thrive when we compromise our surroundings. The ultimate insight? Cholera is an infrastructure crisis, not a medical one. We can’t remove the bacteria from the wild, but environmental sanitation (WASH) blocks it from our drinking water.
Through community sensitization and awareness sessions, humanitarian actors engaged women, men, girls, and boys on Gender-Based Violence (GBV), early and forced marriage, sexual assault, and the importance of protective behaviors.
We strongly condemn the attack and abduction of school children in Askira-Uba LGA. Our thoughts remain with the affected families and community as we call for urgent action to ensure the safe return of all abducted children

GEPaDC Celebrates International Women’s Day 2026 – Ngala & Bama
GEPaDC marked International Women’s Day in Ngala and Bama LGAs, bringing together women, girls, GBV survivors, youth, community leaders, and partners to promote women’s rights, gender equality, and empowerment.
Activities included awareness sessions, drama presentations, and practical skills demonstrations like liquid soap making, aimed at fostering economic independence, protection, and active community participation.
Yesterday, we marked International Women’s Day 2026, celebrating the courage, resilience, and achievements of women who continue to inspire progress in our communities. The event highlighted the importance of empowering women and girls to lead, thrive, and create lasting change.
