Aulas screams “Emirates,” the shirt sponsor, in delight as he holds the shirt with Paqueta.

More mask jokes from Aulas & we are done. Interesting that he tried to call on lead negotiator Ponsot to speak multiple times on specific cases of possible departures & Ponsot chose not to.

Aulas on Aouar: “We know that three big clubs are interested in him. 2 in the short-term, 1 in the long-term. Not much has happened. All the clubs cant give us financially what Lyon wants.”

[GFFNPressConferences @GFFNPressConf]

Aulas on Reine-Adélaïde: “No agreement with anyone at the moment. It is true that Hertha are pushing harder than others at the moment.”

[GFFNPressConferences @GFFNPressConf]

Aulas: “We could see ourselves lose 2 players.”

[GFFNPressConferences @GFFNPressConf]

Aulas: “From Friday evening, when Rudi will choose his squad vs Marseille, there will be no departures.”

[GFFNPressConferences @GFFNPressConf]

Aulas: “We wanted to show with this deal that we were not dependent on sales.”

[GFFNPressConferences @GFFNPressConf]

Juninho: “I think by Friday we will have all the answers.”

[GFFNPressConferences @GFFNPressConf]

Juninho: “We know that things could happen between now and Monday. It is not ideal. We have to adapt.”

[GFFNPressConferences @GFFNPressConf]

Juninho: “Pellistri is well advanced. I hope that we will finalise very soon. We have been looking at Paqueta for a long time.”

[GFFNPressConferences @GFFNPressConf]

Paqueta: “I watched them in the Champions’ League. I saw that they were a team that was being constructed. Beating Juventus, the big team in Italy. When Juni contacted me I told him that this project pleased me.”

[GFFNPressConferences @GFFNPressConf]

Paqueta on playing vs Marseille this weekend: “I will be available to the manager if he wants me to play. I don’t know yet honestly.”

[GFFNPressConferences @GFFNPressConf]

Paqueta: “I am a player who gives everything, all the time in training, everything. I want to adapt as quickly as possible and to help the midfield by entering the opposition box.”

[GFFNPressConferences @GFFNPressConf]

Paqueta: “Lyon is a team that is look upon very well in Brazil. I thank the president and Juni for their confidence in me. I am ready for this project.”

[GFFNPressConferences @GFFNPressConf]

Aulas makes a joke about sanitising the microphone each time a new reporter asks a question. Haha indeed.

[GFFNPressConferences @GFFNPressConf]

Aulas decides that he should ask Paqueta the first question. Paqueta thanks God for the deal.

[GFFNPressConferences @GFFNPressConf]

Juninho: “He must make the effort to adapt now, it is up to him to make the efforts. I have faith in him, he’s intelligent, I believe he will succeed here.”

[GFFNPressConferences @GFFNPressConf]

Juninho: “I saw Lucas begin his career, I thought immediately he was a profile for Lyon. He’s a left footer, which we don’t have in the squad at the moment. The coach can use him in many positions, but he prefers to be behind the striker.”

[GFFNPressConferences @GFFNPressConf]

Aulas: “We intend to fight against the factors that led to us not being quite with it at the beginning of this season.”

[GFFNPressConferences @GFFNPressConf]

Aulas: “The transfer is €20m, permanent deal. What should be made clear is that we have with a Vincent (Ponsot) and Juni achieves a very good deal here. His previous transfer was closer to €40m than €20m.”
