The new building is complete, just getting some areas cleaned again before upcoming Housing Quality Standards (HQS) inspections by Georgia Department of Community Affairs. We have received an overwhelming amount of interest from Veterans looking to move in.

Three existing historic structures, Building 19, 20, and 21, will be completely redeveloped into housing units for Veterans in addition to a new construction building adding community space for amenities, such as a computer lab and fitness center.

Elevator adjustment in Building 35 is complete, and the state inspection is being scheduled. Front entryway porch installation has began on Building 34. Additional hand rails have been installed at the front entryway as well. Completing doors, paint, and trim where needed.

State inspection coming next. Starting construction on the Gazebo soon. We’ve had a lot of rain but as soon as it dries up some we will attack the exterior, stripping the parking lot, pouring concrete, etc.

Grader will be grading to the sidewalks. Sidewalks at New Building are poured. Forming rest of the ramp for ADA entrance to Building 35. Sidewalks should be finished this week. Brick at 34 elevator add continues. Just about ready to get elevator company to come out and inspect.
