"George can turn me, a boring creator, into someone who looks extremely good on camera.”
Kieran is low key the reason I came to love Australian creators.
He reached out to me about a year ago looking for a way to start his YouTube channel.
We talked about the gear he was looking to get but mostly about the editing style of his videos.
The goal was to create a style using the inspiration of some of his favorite creators.
We did just that and I can easily describe this as one of the smoothest collaborations I've ever had.
20 videos down the road we reached our first 1000 subs.
Due to circumstances, he needed to press pause for a while (life happens) but I'm telling you, the beast is just asleep...
“I feel like there’s a gap online for more grounded conversations around business, life, and responsibility.”
I think more people feel this than creators realize.
The internet has enough loud opinions already.
@ecomtalent Is it because they know people disappear the second they hear a real editing price… or because they actually got paid $20 for 10 hours of work? 😂
Man, it’s so rare hearing someone say livestreams feel easier than recorded videos. But I get it. Live feels more like talking to someone, while recording feels like you’re judging yourself while you talk.
Maybe don’t even think of it as making a YouTube video yet. Just record a few messy 1-minute clips you know you won’t post. Might help take some pressure off.
“I don’t want to quit my job. I just want enough freedom by 40 so I have options.”
Honestly, I think this is one of the healthiest reasons to build a personal brand.
Not escape.
