I am deeply saddened by the loss of civilian lives in the recent Pakistani aerial strikes on Afghanistan. A tragedy that claimed the lives of women, children, and aspiring young cricketers who dreamed of representing their nation on the world stage.
It is absolutely immoral and barbaric to target civilian infrastructure. These unjust and unlawful actions represent a grave violation of human rights and must not go unnoticed.
In light of the precious innocent souls lost, I welcome the ACB’s decision of withdrawing from upcoming fixtures against Pakistan. I stand with our people at this difficult time, our national dignity must come before all else.
Afghanistan’s steady and consistent rise in international cricket has been inspiring! You can’t term their wins as upsets anymore, they’ve made this a habit now.
A superb century by @IZadran18 and wonderful five-for by @AzmatOmarzay, sealed another memorable win for Afghanistan.
Well played!

“Rafah, a city of children.”
UNICEF Spokesperson James Elder on the more than 600,000 children trapped in Rafah, with nowhere safe to go.
Children need a humanitarian ceasefire. Now.
#MarchAgainstBalochGenocide is under attack by the Islamabad police. Many of our youth have been arrested, & many have been injured by tear gas shelling and violence. Right now, we are being treated worse than animals. Will the world raise its voice for us against this barbarism?

I am unable to express the disappointment I feel now as The Afghan female students, whom I had provided an educational scholarship in collaboration with the @uniofdubai presented by Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki @ebastaki, were unfortunately unable to reach #DubaiAirport this morning to continue their studies due to Taliban’s interference. This has left me lost for words to describe the disappointment I currently feel.
We've been eagerly anticipating this day for a while; after months of unceasing efforts among @AlHabtoorGroup’s team members and I to secure university admissions, accommodations, transportation, health insurance, and an array of comprehensive services aimed at ensuring the utmost comfort and safety for the female students, our aspirations were crushed. The authorities in #Afghanistan, without justification, prevented their departure, unjustly curtailing their freedom.
This stands as a profound tragedy, a blow against the principles of humanity, education, equality, and justice. I request all involved parties to quickly step in and help rescue and assist these struggling students.

What an adventure it was to find the grave of Mahmud Tarzi who was a great Afghan politician, ambassador, intellectual and the father of journalism. Tarzi was buried at the Eyup Sultan Cemetery in Istanbul in 1933. We arrived at the gate of the cemetery and realized it was massive. I had no idea where Tarzi and his wife Asma Rasmiya were buried. My parents and I searched but this is one of the oldest and largest Muslim cemeteries in Istanbul. With the help of our taxi driver and one of the cemetery guards, we found their graves! Honored to pray for the couple at their grave and share this experience with my Baba jan and Madar jan.
