@GOOSEBUMPS9JA@Corballyred You are completely ignoring the wishes of the player sir. Any top team could have tried that. Haaland didn't want it. Look at what his family/agent earned from his transfers. This isn't FIFA or Football Manager.
@Scunner1678@NqoDylan@WeAreTheOverlap That I totally understand. Same thing happened with Fernando Torres. Rushed back from injury to make a Euros or World Cup and he was never the same player after.
@NqoDylan@WeAreTheOverlap I'm not denying his injuries or anything sir but by them saying he "needs a rest he's played non stop for X amount of time" it doesn't marry up with facts.
@TheAnfieldWrap I don't think it would have been the money that was the issue to be honest. I suspect it was the thought of giving a 29 year old a 4 year contract which is what he got from Spurs. Liverpool don't give long contracts to players over 30.
@94lfc94@NeilLfc_5 They didn't develop as expected but when we signed them we beat off all of Europe's big guns to sign them. To pretend otherwise is disingenuous at best.
@94lfc94@NeilLfc_5 You mean the best player and second best player at the U17 world championships? Might not have worked out but they weren't shite. Also, Istanbul doesn't happen with Sinama Pongolle.
@SiClancy@sazzam31 I loved him in the youth set up but not LW where he played. Thought he'd be a great CM but the issue seems to be his deliberation time...it...is...so...slow. Kills our forward momentum. I'll miss the fact he's home grown and a scouser but not the actual player if I'm honest.
