Centering Black girls and TGNC youth in policy and advocacy, direct service and culture-change work to achieve gender & racial justice. 📧[email protected]
It’s #WomensEqualityDay, but let’s be clear:
The 19th Amendment didn’t mean equality for all women.
And “equality” still leaves many behind.
At GGE, we fight for justice that centers Black girls + gender-expansive youth.
Equality isn’t enough. Liberation is the goal.
Happy birthday to the revolutionary Marsha P. Johnson.
A Black trans woman who fought like hell so we could all live free.
We honor her legacy by uplifting Black trans youth + demanding justice every day.
🌺 No pride without protest.
#MarshaPJohnson#TransLiberationNow
The 19th Amendment didn’t guarantee voting rights for Black women or many women of color.
We honor the Black suffragists + freedom fighters who knew:
Liberation goes beyond the ballot.
The fight continues.

On #NonprofitDay, we’re shouting out everyone building power with us from staff + youth leaders to donors + community. 💜
At GGE, this work is personal, political, and powerful.
Thank you for believing in Black girls + gender-expansive youth.
#TrustBlackGirls#GGE
Black women still make just 66¢ to every $1 paid to white men.
Today, on #BlackWomensEqualPayDay, we demand more than equal pay; we demand economic justice.
At GGE, we’re building a future where Black girls + gender-expansive youth are paid, protected, and valued.
This #InternationalYouthDay, we’re shouting out the Black girls + gender-expansive youth leading change right now.
At GGE, youth aren’t a side note; they are the movement.
Trust them. Fund them. Follow their lead.

Today, we uplift the power + resistance of Indigenous communities worldwide.
On stolen Lenape land, we honor Indigenous girls, women, + Two-Spirit leaders whose liberation is tied to ours.

We commemorate this milestone in #Herstory and continue pushing for true equity in learning spaces. #TitleIX#GGENYC
On June 19, 1865, enslaved Black people in Texas were finally freed—marking the day we now honor as #Juneteenth.
Today, we remember, we celebrate, and we continue the fight for true freedom. ❤️💚🖤 #BlackLiberation#GGENYC

Students with disabilities and Black & Brown youth are suspended at disproportionate rates. We’re in Albany today to demand change. #SupportNotSuspensionsNY#EquityInEducation
Suspensions don’t solve behavior issues—they push students out of school and into the justice system. We demand restorative solutions. #SolutionsNotSuspensionsNY#EndSchoolPushout
Today, we honor Breonna Taylor. A daughter, a caregiver, a leader—her life mattered. 🤍
We will always remember her, uplift her legacy, and continue to fight for justice.

Today we celebrate 23 years of GGE! ✨
For over two decades, we’ve centered the leadership of Black girls & gender-expansive youth of color to shift culture & policy for gender & racial justice.
Here’s to 23 more. 💜 #GGE23#BlackGirlsLead#GenderJustice
