So 35% of the cost of petrol is tax? That is then not used to improve roads, but comes in handy when Politicians want to hand massive useless contracts to mates and fly their families around the world. Our system is entirely broken and we need to start again.
To those who say "it's her choice" I used to say the same thing about my own Hijab.
I was covered head to toe. Even on the beach. Even with my male relatives. And when people challenged me, I said: this is my choice. You know why? Because the other option was burning in hell, hung by my hair for eternity. That's what they taught me since childhood.
Yes, let me repeat it for you to just understand about our version of “freedom of choice.” I grew up in an Islamist culture that gave me two options. Cover yourself and go to heaven. Or don't cover, and be hanged by your hair and burned in hell.
Like when someone puts a gun to your head and says "you can go left or right", technically, yes, that's a choice.
I picked heaven. I called it freedom. And I believed it, because that's what happens when fear is all you've ever known.
And if you think I shouldn't be telling you my story, I don't care. I really, genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, don't care. The women still living under that "choice"? I care about them.

For the first time in recorded history, a civilization has decided that the most enlightened virtue is to surrender its culture, heritage, women, and children without putting up any defence. Suicidal empathy shall prove to be the demise of the West.
Victorian Labor are planning to roll Jacinta Allan over allegations of organised crime and CFMEU-linked corruption, as well as mega cost blowouts on the Big Build program.
Hello?
Literally none of this happened overnight. None of it. Under Daniel Andrews billions were torn up on the cancelled East-West Link and Commonwealth Games. And does anyone think CFMEU corruption is something new? Either Daniel Andrews knew about all of it or should have known. So why is she being blamed alone?
The problem isn't solely Jacinta Allan. It's Labor and the Unions. And getting rid of her to be replaced by a hand pick won't fix that. It will entrench it.
It's no better than picking a seed out of a rotten apple.
Hypocrisy much?
A Prime Minister preaching integrity while dining at a $40 million harbourside mansion tied to a tax office probe—hosted by the son of a foreign billionaire accused of moving money into Australian accounts.
Australians deserve answers, not silence.
This man is ruining Australia. The family of the man who the ATO are chasing for 275 million dollars, have given @AlboMP a one million dollar donation to turn up to their mansion. The ATO will most likely never get the 275 million desperately need dollars but Albo will most likely make sure @australianlabor get the million bucks. He is for the billionaires, not the battlers, he can’t make it any clearer.
Look at the Prime Minister squirm and refuse to answer questions about the dinner he attended allegedly in return for a $1 million donation to the labor party.
The dinner was hosted at a mansion in Point Piper, one of the most expensive suburbs in Australia. Disgraced former Victorian Premier Dan Andrews was also in attendance.
The organiser, Felix Lee has been subject to scrutiny by Australia's banking regulator. His parent's were chased by the ATO for an alleged $273 million in unpaid tax. The Point Piper mansion the Prime Minister attended for the fundraiser is subject to a security claim by the tax office.
Lee's father was a central figure in the 2022 inquiry into the basket case casino, having put $2.2 billion through Sydney’s Star casino including the use of prohibited Chinese debit cards.
There are allegations of billions flowing from China into Australia - this is the company the Prime Minister keeps.
The Prime Minister hits Australians with some of the highest taxes in the world, then dines with the family of a man the tax office reportedly chased for a quarter of a billion in unpaid tax.
If Labor didn't have double standards, they wouldn't have any.
