As is usual #OTD we wish Happy Birthday to pioneer aviator and celebrity (one of the first in the modern sense of media profile) Amy Johnson, born 1 July 1903 in #Hull.

Good morning,
Today in 1930, Hull born aviatrix Amy Johnson landed in Darwin, Northern Territory, becoming the first woman to fly solo from England to Australia (she left on May 5 for the 11,000 mile flight).
I'm very pleased to be part of the judging panel for this ⬇️ I know the entries are already coming in. Hoping to see plenty of entries from every County, including #Lincolnshire. Some fabulous judges too 👍
I am incredibly grateful to whoever put me forward for The Educator of the Year Award at @theyorkmix . I’m honoured to be chosen as a finalist for my efforts in educating children and young people about all that’s associated with #countylines and #knifecrime. #cce
I’m honoured to have the support of @dwaynamics who is one of the judges on my national initiative. We are working together to educate young people on the dangers of carrying knives, and to understand all that surrounds county lines exploitation.
