The report also states that prosecutors are weighing the possibility of bring additional charges against Trump himself — a dire prospect for the ex-president given the fact that the classified documents charges already stand a good chance of landing him in prison.

The really bad part for Trump? The new charges could be the worst yet.

Source familiar with the matter have revealed that the DOJ has already made preparations to bring something called a "superseding indictment." The term refers to a second set of charges against a defendant who has already been indicted that could include even more serious crimes.

The prosecutors could "stack" as many as 45 additional charges on top of the 37-count indictment that Trump already faces. This move would involve using evidence that has not yet been revealed to the public by the DOJ, possibly including other recordings.

Reportedly, the ultimate decision on whether or not to bring the new charges will hinge at least partially on whether or not the Trump-appointed Judge Aileen Cannon — the woman presiding over the classified documents case — ends up giving unfair preferential treatment to the man who put her in power.

It's also expected that Special Counsel Jack Smith is about to bring charges against some of Trump's crooked attorneys, including credibly accused sexual predator Rudy Giuliani, for their role in the efforts to illegally keep Trump in the White House.
