@Trust_JD@munnydawg@BhaktSanatani_@crazyclips_ Every time I was competing against hundreds into thousands of other people who had years of experience, I had 0 experience and was still learning about interviews
@munnydawg@BhaktSanatani_@crazyclips_ Aye but I don't make enough to live, could never afford a place to live so not really adulthood π good convo tho
@munnydawg@BhaktSanatani_@crazyclips_ I am working for both of those places, I'm doing 30-50 hours a week, one place I'm making 6.40 an hour and the other I'm making 11.49 an hour, alot of walking between them though and not a big fan of either
@dr_heckyll@BhaktSanatani_@crazyclips_ I took statistics from the UK because i couldn't find any for the US, I do know that the US is more expensive tho, where I'm at if you make 25k a year you can live quite well and go on holidays, 50k a year and you're rich, you can still live on 20k if you know where to live
@munnydawg@BhaktSanatani_@crazyclips_ I Studied because I was desperate for a job, I was willing to travel 1 hour if it meant I had a well paying job, in total I've probably applied to 1-2 thousand jobs, I kept track of them but deleted my notes when i got my first job, started again after it got shut down
@munnydawg@BhaktSanatani_@crazyclips_ Northern ireland, not US, those classes are basic education, i only chose the hospitality, construction and business
@munnydawg@BhaktSanatani_@crazyclips_ But even then I'm getting denied apprenticeships and jobs that I took classes for, 127 jobs applied to, 17 business responded and only 2 of them wanted to hire me
@munnydawg@BhaktSanatani_@crazyclips_ Again look it up, just one google search will prove you wrong, gen z is the smartest generations and that first sentence was a copy paste from an article, they're not my words
@CharlesRannach1@BhaktSanatani_@crazyclips_ It's not easy to just "get a better job" I applied to 427 jobs in 4 weeks, I got 11 interviews and only 2 wanted to hire me, one was because I was the only person who applied and the other was because my mum is friends with the person who hires
@dr_heckyll@BhaktSanatani_@crazyclips_ Because it was easier to get houses then... in the last 20 years, house prices have raised 207% while the average salary has only raised 85.59% (based on UK averages) the longer we go on the harder it is to buy a house, even the house I'm in has doubled in price since purchase
@wicwak26@BhaktSanatani_@crazyclips_ Quit being such a stuck up bitch and open your fucking eyes, it's hard trying to get money now when you have no experience and nowhere wants to hire you
@munnydawg@BhaktSanatani_@crazyclips_ Perfect cv, but even then I only had 2 places hire me, one was for a coffee shop where I was the only person who applied and the other is a cleaner for a hospital (non medical) which I only got because my mum is friends with the person who hires, now tell me all that happens
