My take on the only 10% can access is that if TACs are full, that means we need more of them, not less!
but also we need to use some sites as intended, so for leaders to have support, training etc and that maybe that might help keep leaders!

It was really good to have the opportunity to talk to Tracy, our @Chief_Guide. and Angela, our @GirlguidingCEO, on Friday. I've been reflecting following this and our members' call on Wednesday - a few more ideas to support and #saveourcentres below:

3) We host #AdventureForAll trainings for leaders at the TACs, then track the impact of these across units. Getting as much adventure as possible in the programme, making the most of our new #Adventure badges, specific quals eg for tomahawk throwing, skills such as whittling -

2) We set up a TAC outreach project: #TACsOnTour. This could include event join-in packs & badge packs for all units & young members, event how-to packs for other sites, developing new #KnowMyself and #HaveAdventures UMAs + Skills Builder support, remote or in-person unit visits

@Chief_Guide @GirlguidingCEO 1) We set up a specific TAC access fund to provide travel grants and bursaries. I would happily support this, and I'm sure other @Girlguiding alumnae would, too. We'd also be able to apply for external grants. Great marketing & awareness potential, as well - newsletter, badges...

My first ever @girlguidingbgo experience was a couple of nights with 1st Munich Brownies in 2013, and I've just spent my first and last BGO Brownie pack holiday with them (though none of us actually remembered each other!). It's funny how things work out! #SailingWithBGO

BGO Singapore had their final camp last Friday at Camp Christine! We went out with a bang....a loud and heartbroken bang.
All units closed this week, and it's been a week of high emotions.

I genuinely don’t know which aspect of @Girlguiding decisions makes me saddest, losing all the amazing British Guiding Oversees members or the closure of all 5 UK activities centres that have enabled continuity over 100 years, house our history and make large events possible?

@Girlguiding Tonight our Brownies at 1st Starnberg @girlguidingbgo had their first campfire and S’mores together. It was a perfect evening. with camp songs and laughter in the air. We‘re heartbroken that it was also our last campfire together due to @Girlguiding decision!
