Fun on a Friday!
Children in our year one classes at Gearies Primary launched their model spaceships. They were really excited by the event and this proved to be such a fun activity to do, helping with our mission of teaching exciting and engaging learning.
Very excited for the virtual Maths Forum in conjunction with the London North East Maths Hub & Maths SLEs. We shall be sharing good practise & advice on how to clearly articulate using evidence the standards of maths within a school. Looking forward to “seeing” everyone!
You’ll be flipping mad to miss these! #pancakeday

All about painting! Teachers who attended the REP Art session enjoyed experimenting with different materials to create different effects when painting. All teachers were fully immersed in the session and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Hosting the cross borough EYFS Network! Today's aim was to drill down into a particular aspect of provision and determine how to improve it. They went on a learning walk and reflected on the practise that they saw. This then fed into designing a piece of action research.
Looking forward to working with these fabulous teachers tomorrow for our second session of our RQT network. The theme this time is differentiation and inclusion
School Direct:Teach in Redbridge led by Alex Dias.
All about Reading! They had the opportunity to watch lessons & discuss the good practise that they had observed. They also visited KS1 classrooms to understand the impact a literate environment can have on reading.
Wider Curriculum Network. The first session is on Thursday 28th Nov @Eastbury led by Khaled Subhan. They will be focusing on evaluating their current curriculum and identifying the areas that need developing.
Thanks to Alex Dias (Deputy Head @Gearies) & Lisa Shepherd (Co-Head @Eastbury) for imparting their knowledge & experience to Assistant & Deputy Heads on the topic of Parental Engagement during the 1st session of the Leadership Network.
Thank you @Karruna648 for sharing the stories in such a powerful way. This performance was something the children will never forget and being involved has given many of them a new found confidence to continue sharing their languages and stories.
Can’t wait to see it today. It’s had a massive impact on those involved in the project already & will also have had a huge impact on the chn that saw the play on Friday. It’s so important that children see themselves and the multilingual world they live in reflected in the arts.
Could not thank you enough @_dolezalova for capturing the voices of our school community so powerfully. Post show discussions provided more inspirations: creating moments of, "collective memory making" and moments for future, "collective nostalgic memories "
A wonderful production and project that has had a huge impact on the children. It’s so important they see the world they live in and multilingualism valued and celebrated #BeingHuman19
More Directors like @_dolezalova please!! A genuine creative artist who wants to encourage the arts in communities to value and embrace every aspect of their identity. Thank you for an incredible process! @RichMixLondon#AtHomeISpeak#BeingHuman#Theatre#director
Truly moving production that made me realise the importance of our children’s everyday life stories. Never take anything for granted. Cherish the bravery of our young community and do your best each day to help them develop their identities.
