In ASPIRE Gov, students in Mr. Otto’s course litigated four landmark Supreme Court cases, acting as attorneys and justices tasked with deliberating topics through a constitutional lens.
In Ms. McCormack’s ASPIRE English and Lit classes, students went kinesthetic with their poetry analysis and thematic (Valentine’s Day) with their responses to a synthesis prompt.
Mr. Otto’s ASPIRE Government seniors simulated the arguments made in 4 landmark Supreme Court cases, with students taking on the roles of justices and litigators.
Ms. McCormack’s 9th grade ASPIRE English class has been conducting poetry analysis, while her 11th grade Lit class completed a synthesis writing prompt themed to Valentine’s Day!

ASPIRE Gov students take a political spectrum personality quiz (with actual nuance!) and tackle a Socratic seminar about urban and rural voting patterns in back-to-back classes in our linkage institution unit!
GHS ASPIRE seniors wrapped up their study of externalities in AP Microeconomics today, ending an excellent crack at this new (to them) subject! Up next week, we shift back to AP Gov to study linkage institutions!
