@90sfaces@reynbreadloaf You are confusing the individual wealthy people with corporations. The skincare industry isnt 5 rich people deciding what issue is a national health emergency, it's corporations selling a product and trying to maximise profit. They will obviously only invest in skin care research
@reynbreadloaf@90sfaces I mean the skincare industry generates enough money to fund its own research, whereas endometriosis research relies on public funding, so this is not a good comparison.
@anthony64748247@redrebeljjk I hope that the next time that you encounter a situation like this, instead of jumping to conclusions, you can use critical thinking and realize that "you don't know what you dont know"
@anthony64748247@redrebeljjk Because the testes in histology slides isnt distinguishable from the structures around it, so to facilitate its recognition, a drawing is used. It shows the importance of using illustrations in medical education, because otherwise students learn things wrong which hurts patients
@gummi_brain@newmonkye Soooo many patients lie about things like this, for so many reasons. Maybe you don't, but you have to consider that others do, and that the doctor can't differentiate you from the liars.

Let’s talk about the VOCALSS IN THE ENDDD 😍 one of my favorite videos from her as well, so comforting
@sufys12@Vioblur I agree that they don't consider "fluid intelligence" here, but in my experience, when you get to a higher level of education, fluid intelligence alone can't save you. You have to rely on crystallized intelligence. As someone who studies by memorizing concepts, I perform better +
@PenguinBaconPh@sufys12@Vioblur I wasn't talking about "knowing the next lesson", the girl in my example wasn't only learning the material of our level. She was learning things beyond that in different disciplines and she was able to use that knowledge to understand as you explain it. But it only worked if she+
@sufys12@Vioblur It exists tho. I knew this girl from a super rich family that had like 15 private tutors teaching her things we hadn't even started learning in school yet. So she appeared "intelligent", but she was actually very slow at picking up concepts she hadn't pre-studied.
