Dieulafoy lesions account for 1-2% of upper GI bleeding, with duodenal dieulafoy's accounting for 10-15% (0.1–0.3% of all acute GI bleeds). Once you see one, you never forget it.

Nice example of how these lesions present (note the normal surrounding mucosa) and how clip closure to ensure vessel tamponade prior to deployment is vital.
