So when I see Citizen TV report that the land is ment for the Mau evictees, I see a misrepresentation of facts.
Just replayed clips from NTV Kenya and KTN Home and they have reported accurately.

Nowadays, journalists are very lazy people, rushing to report without verifying facts. The 5800 acre piece of land belonging to the late Cheluget is not being bought by the Government to settle Mau evictees as misreported by Citizen TV Kenya.

These are the facts:
1. President William Ruto, while in Sogoo promised to settle/or compensate the Mau evictees, a plan yet to be deviced.
2. Separately, he said he was in talks with the Cheluget family over the 5800 acre land in the area. So what's the story of the vast land?

He approached Cheluget family and negotiated with them to sell the land to the government in order to have the settlers living in there to be the legal owners. The Governor then became the link between the settlers and the President. The talks are in advanced stage.

getting a court order to evict the several people now living there. That would prove a tall order considering that the number of people had settled were many. Narok Governor Patrick Keturet Ole Ntutu stepped in to secure justice for both parties.

Several years ago, several people invaded the Cheluget farm and subdivided among themselves. They didn't want anything to do with Cheluget and even renamed the place, 'Kaplelach'. Cheluget family went to court and won,

This is River Chemosit in Kericho County. It separates Belgut and Bureti constituencies. From time immemorial, it served as a boundary between Belgut and Waldai/Bureti regions. You see, historically, Kipsigisland was divided into three; Belgut, Waldai/Bureti and Soot.

may be referring to Belgut region and not Belgut constituency in specific.
One interesting thing is that is hard to differentiate the Kipsigis language dialects spoken in these three regions. UNLESS you are very sharp linguist, you will not notice that the Kipsigis of Belgut have
