Weeks ago Cyril Ramaphosa was acting all powerful, telling the Media that Cabinet Reshuffles are the sole prerogative of the President.

Today, he is cowardly folding to the demands of the new leader of the DA.

This comes after the DA Deputy Sneaker of Parliament entertained a EFF Vote of No Confidence motion against the ANC Speaker.

This is no coincidence! The reality is that Ramaphosa’s fear of impeachment has made him a prisoner of the DA.

He is now forced to agree with everything the DA says, even if unconstitutional, because he fears how they will vote in Parliament.

Phala Phala has rendered the ANC naked, and powerless!

President Thabo Mbeki touches on the Nugent Commission, established by President Cyril Ramaphosa in 2018 and chaired by Judge Robert Nugent, to investigate governance failures, capture and the deliberate destruction of South African Revenue Services (SARS).

I am sure President Mbeki would fall off his chair if he were to find out that one of the senior SARS executives who was suspended during the post-Nugent clean up in 2019 has now been appointed by Buti Manamela as the Administrator of NSFAS to look after over R 50 Billion meant for students annually.

In the same way a political decision was taken to destroy SARS, a political decision seems to have been taken to destroy NSFAS.

Perhaps, we must write to SARS and the National Treasury about this dodgy appointment.

Former President Thabo Mbeki making a scathing critique of the ANC, stating in unequivocal terms that the ANC as led by Cyril Ramaphosa and Fikile Mbalula is in violation of itself, as they resist by hook or by crook oversight over the Executive.

The ANC used its then parliamentary majority to vote against the establishment of an impeachment committee to investigate Cyril Ramaphosa regarding Phala Phala, an unlawful vote which was set aside by the ConCourt. Never forget!

It is very abnormal for a political party to launch a political campaign in defence of a municipal official. This is a #HandsOff campaign by a political party for an official.

I can assure you, if the ANC or the EFF went on a public tirade on behalf of a municipal official like this, the derogatory insinuations of corruption would have to be created in the dictionary. We would be told this municipal official is an extension of political party patronage.

It is telling that it is only the EFF in the history of municipal governance that has raised as a concern, the disproportionate amount of power municipal officials have in municipal councils as opposed to elected public representatives

This is not normal. Here is a case study of a political party caucus doing the bidding of a municipal official - and no media house is asking why?
