I/T Architect. Also was a musician with Baron Thomas and the Blue Crystals. Currently I have my own YouTube chan. ‘George Longfellow Anderson jr.’ X LTJG NAVY
I am a former Naval officer that has been insured with USAA and used the bank cards for 57 years. I am 82 years old and wanted to get my Subscribers account
before I died. I inquired about that and was told that my insurance needed to be cancelled for 6 months then i would receive it. And after that I could bring my insurance back. I went to another co for 6 months, but when I went to reinstate my insurance it got set up two days off. When I called the insurance area they said they would correct the date to March first and that should solve the problem and make it a full 6 months. Then I was told when I wondered why I didn't get my check that they couldn't do it because my insurance was back in force.
My advocate Angelique Arnold said she studied all the phone call and my case, and said there are no exceptions to the rule that my policy needs to be cancelled until I actually receive the check then I could set my policy up again. No one told me that. USAA never told me that and said they made no error. If that is the case, why did they agree to change the date to reflect a full six months?
Resolution is simple: send me check and my policies should start up again with zero in my account.
I am truly frustrated why nothing can be done when i was initially told this would work. My advocate Angelique told me to just cancel insurance again, wait for my check, then apply again. This is insane.
Have any other policyholders had bad experiences like this? On line I now see an F rating for them on the BBB, and numerous other complaints.
Any helpful info would be appreciated.
