Power cuts threatened TB diagnosis in Zambia. Now, a new generation of battery-powered near-point-of-care (NPOC) tests is helping bring diagnosis closer to communities, even where electricity is unreliable.

With support from @GlobalFund & partners, nearly 3 million tests will be delivered across 13 countries, saving many lives by helping more people get diagnosed earlier & begin treatment faster.

The @GlobalFund has approved emergency funding to help sustain essential TB and HIV services in Lebanon & Iraq, where the regional humanitarian crisis has severely disrupted access to healthcare.

The funding will support diagnostics, laboratory capacity, mobile clinics, TB screening & treatment, expand community-based TB/HIV outreach and provide nutritional support for patients in crisis-affected areas.

That’s the motto at a community center in Mozambique, where a network of outreach workers help people who often face stigma & abuse access vital health services & legal support.

The center is also helping ensure new HIV prevention tools, including twice-yearly injectable lenacapavir, are understood, trusted and accessible.

Au Cambodge, Sok Dara et son équipe fournissent des services de dépistage, de prévention et d’accompagnement liés au VIH. À bord d’un véhicule mobile, ils vont à la rencontre des populations les plus exposées au risque d'infection à VIH. 

Les travailleurs et travailleuses de proximité, comme Dara, font avancer la lutte contre le VIH du pays, en rapprochant les services de santé des communautés qui en ont besoin et en élargissant l’accès aux soins.  

Ce mois-ci, le Cambodge a atteint les objectifs mondiaux 95–95–95 liés au VIH, devenant ainsi le tout premier pays de la région Asie-Pacifique à franchir cette étape historique dans la lutte contre le sida.

In Cambodia, Sok Dara and his team provide HIV testing, prevention & support services on a mobile van that reaches the people most at risk for HIV.

Outreach workers like Dara are powering Cambodia’s progress against HIV by bringing health services closer to communities and expanding access to the care that people need.

This month, the country achieved the global 95–95–95 HIV targets, becoming the very first country in Asia-Pacific to reach this groundbreaking milestone in the fight to #EndAIDS.

Malgré plus de quatre années de guerre, Alla et ses collègues du laboratoire de Kharkiv n’ont jamais cessé de travailler.

L’an dernier seulement, son équipe a effectué plus de 11 400 tests, qui ont permis d’identifier 447 personnes atteintes de la tuberculose et de les mettre sous traitement.

En 2025, 96 % des patients nouvellement diagnostiqués l’ont été au moyen de tests moléculaires rapides. Dans le même temps, 90 % des cas confirmés ont subi un test de pharmacorésistance.

Despite more than 4 years of war, Alla and her colleagues at the laboratory in Kharkiv have never stopped working.

Last year alone, they carried out 11,400+ TB tests, identifying 447 people with TB & ensuring they were put on treatment.

In 2025, 96% of newly diagnosed TB patients were detected using rapid molecular diagnostics, while 90% of confirmed cases were tested for drug resistance.
