Although mine wasn't a local flight, it was from lagos to Abidjan.

Didn't experience this in my first and second flight but the next two was a hell of pain.

On my return trip, I sat with a doctor who explained and helped me get some relief (yawn, swallow, chew gum when taking off or landing- ear plugs works too)
