@IndianaGPA When my son was about 6 years old he would go with us on round up. I’d send him on short assignments and keep an eye.. saw him standing in the saddle asked him later what he was doing… “going to bathroom, if I get off can’t get back on”!😂

@robbie71w Went on a trip with a friend who knew several ranchers in Alberta and SK… it was -32* in Foam Lake SK. Purebred Angus calving in a barn +10* in tv monitored stalls… dry calves off, nurse, then out in the cold…tough cattle and people!

We have an elderly producing class that doesn’t want to expand. They are satisfied to maintain current numbers at today’s prices. It’s been impossible for the younger, and “ambitious” class to enter for so long they aren’t there to expand. Land, cattle input costs prohibit it now.
