From 330 lbs to 245—and I’m still moving.
I didn’t wake up motivated. I got sick of being stuck.
Faith, fitness, and discipline over excuses.
Let this be your wake-up call.

Wisdom
A lot of people think discipline feels powerful.
Most of the time it doesn’t.
Most of the time discipline feels like standing in front of a bowl of candy, a bag of popcorn, or a plate of donuts and thinking:
“That looks really good.”
Then choosing not to.
There’s no crowd cheering.
No dramatic music.
No feeling of being unstoppable.
Just a quiet decision.
The truth is that most meaningful progress is built on ordinary moments that nobody sees. It’s made of small choices repeated over and over again when it would be easier not to.
The person who gets stronger isn’t the one who wins one heroic battle. It’s the one who keeps stacking small victories when no one is watching.
Discipline rarely feels powerful in the moment.
It usually feels ordinary.
The power comes from how many ordinary victories you’re willing to stack together.

🐅 TIGER BLOOD CHECK-IN — D2 COMPLETE
Today wasn’t about setting records.
It was about executing the plan.
🏃 30 Minute Endurance Run
📏 2.02 Miles
⛰️ Inclines up to 4%
❤️ Avg HR 133
👣 +1.14 Miles walking to and from lunch
🍩 Ordered donuts, picked them up, sat around them all day… ate ZERO.
The part the apps don’t track?
The incline work still happened.
The discipline still happened.
The decision to walk instead of drive still happened.
Some days aren’t about being a hero.
Some days are about stacking small wins and moving forward anyway.
From BIG to BETTER.

Yesterday: Lower Body Day.
Today: 4.24 miles outdoors.
30 minutes straight before my first walking break.
5K in 45:21.
Finished 4.24 miles in 62:30.
The first real outdoor long run of 2026 reminded me that sunshine, hills, humidity, and pavement hit different than a treadmill.
It wasn’t pretty.
It wasn’t fast.
But it was honest work.
There was a moment where I considered taking a gel and pushing for more. Instead, I took the win, banked the miles, and lived to train another day.
Hard. But a win.

I believe this was after winning the Triple Truck Challenge, KB took the entire $125k prize money and split it up among KBM employees. That’s a HUGE deal for a truck team. It’s nice to work for a BAMF!!
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
— Acts 1:8
💭 Reflection
Jesus does not send His followers out in their own strength. He promises power through the Holy Spirit. This power has one clear purpose: to make them witnesses. The mission begins close to home in Jerusalem, then spreads to Judea and Samaria, and finally reaches the ends of the earth. The scope is global, but it begins with ordinary people empowered by the Spirit.
Jesus does not ask His followers to manufacture strength or force results. The power comes first. The witness flows from it. God does not call people because they are already capable. He equips them through His Spirit.
Being a witness is not only preaching. It is living faithfully, speaking honestly about Christ, and allowing others to see the hope He has placed within us.
Sometimes God grows people beyond what feels naturally possible to them. The power of the Holy Spirit is not about becoming impressive. It is about God working through ordinary people in ways they could never accomplish alone.
🧭 Takeaway
Wait for the Holy Spirit’s power instead of rushing ahead in your own strength. Be a witness right where you are. Trust that God equips ordinary people to carry an extraordinary message.
🙏 Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for the promise of the Holy Spirit’s power. Fill us with that power so we can faithfully represent You. Teach us not to depend on ourselves, but on Your Spirit working through us. Start in our own city and send us as far as You desire. Amen.
✝️ Reminder of Faith
The Holy Spirit gives power so ordinary people can faithfully witness to an extraordinary Savior.
🔻 Final Closing
You do not have to become stronger first.
You do not have to become perfect first.
God equips those He calls.
Trust Him.
Take the next step.
PSA.
Strong people push through.
Disciplined people push through.
People who train hard, work hard, and show up no matter what often convince themselves they just need to tough it out.
Please don’t ignore an infection that is getting worse instead of better.
Watch for:
• Fever, shaking chills, or feeling unusually cold
• Shortness of breath or trouble breathing
• Heart racing for no obvious reason
• Confusion, brain fog, or acting unlike yourself
• Extreme weakness or exhaustion that feels beyond normal
• Severe pain or feeling much sicker than a normal cold or flu
• Dizziness, faintness, or low blood pressure feelings
• Pale, clammy, mottled, or bluish skin
• Very little urination
• Pneumonia symptoms that suddenly worsen such as cough, chest pain, fever, or breathing trouble
Simple rule:
If you have an infection and your body feels like it is rapidly losing ground instead of slowly improving, get checked.
Being tough is useful.
Ignoring your body isn’t.
Tomorrow isn’t promised.
I had the opportunity to meet Kyle, one of NASCAR’s greatest racers, on the campaign trail in 2024. Usha and I are praying for him and his family. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.
Blueberry Muffins With Streusel Crumb Topping
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 18–21 minutes
Yield: 16 bakery-style muffins
INGREDIENTS
For Blueberry Muffins:
2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons (12g) baking powder
1/2 teaspoon (3g) salt
2 large eggs (or 3 small)
1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
1 cup (227g) full-fat Greek yogurt
1/2 cup (112g) avocado oil
1 teaspoon (5g) vanilla extract
2 1/3 cups (350g) blueberries, fresh or frozen (thawed), divided
1 cup (150g) for batter
1 1/3 cups (200g) for topping
1 tablespoon (8g) flour for coating blueberries
For Streusel Topping:
1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
2/3 cup (133g) granulated sugar
1 teaspoon (2g) cinnamon
1 stick (113g) salted butter, melted
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 400°F. Line muffin pans with paper liners or tulip liners.
Make streusel topping: whisk together flour, sugar, and cinnamon. Add melted butter and stir with a fork until crumbly. If mixture feels too wet, stab repeatedly with a fork until crumb texture forms. Set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a medium bowl whisk eggs and sugar until combined. Add Greek yogurt, avocado oil, and vanilla. Whisk until smooth and pale.
Fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Mix gently by hand until combined. Do not overmix.
Dry blueberries well if rinsed. Toss 1 cup (150g) blueberries with flour until lightly coated. Fold gently into batter.
Divide batter evenly between liners using 60g batter per muffin cup.
Top each muffin with approximately 5 blueberries from remaining blueberries.
Cover generously with streusel topping.
Place muffins in oven and immediately reduce oven temperature to 375°F.
Bake 18–21 minutes, checking around 18 minutes. Muffins are done when tops are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
Cool 5 minutes in pan. Transfer to wire rack.
Notes from Version 1 bake:
Produced 16 bakery-style muffins
21 minutes was the sweet spot
Heavy blueberry loading + generous streusel = worth it
Tulip liners highly recommended
Trust the process 🔥🫐
Tiger Blood Check-In 🐅
45-minute endurance run complete.
3.39 miles. Sustained effort. No shortcuts.
This one challenged me mentally more than intervals. Around 17–20 minutes my brain wanted to shut it down. Around 38–40 minutes I found another gear.
Hip needed managed smart today, so I held incline where I needed it and focused on staying controlled.
One thing endurance training keeps teaching me:
Sometimes growth isn’t about going faster.
Sometimes it’s about staying in the fight when your mind starts negotiating.
Today wasn’t perfect.
It was earned.
