1/Visit Series: Kathmandu, Nepal π πΈ
Nepal is known by many as a tourist destination. But beyond the more visible paths, there are local children's homes quietly doing the hard work of care every day.
Read more about the homes we've visited ππΌ
4/What stood out π
β’ These homes are less known to foreigners and rely mostly on word of mouth and a few consistent donor
β’ What they need is often simple but essential: stable shelter, food, education support, stronger day-to-day management
β’Β Both homes were doing a lot with limited resources while still giving children structure and a steadier path forward
β’ The care happening inside may not be visible online. But it is deeply real.
2/ About Caminito de Luz π
The home offers free education to children from low-income families built around one philosophy: nurturing healthy relationships with self, with others, and with the world.
After Covid, budget cuts forced many children to leave school early and spend hours home alone while their parents work.
This new class aims to create more time for children to stay safe, continue learning, and build skills for the future. One step at a time. β¨

2/ About Casa Generacion π‘
The home is based in a small coastal town south of Lima, Peru, where children grow up surrounded by love, community, and the energy of the sea.
Here, surfing and skateboarding are not just activities. They are part of everyday life, giving children strength, confidence, and joy.
That is what made this organization feel so special to us. We hope to help children keep building not only confidence through play, but also a stronger foundation for learning. β¨
DM us to get connected.

1/Visit Series - Nepal ππΈ
Our Nepal visit introduced us to children's homes built from resilience, compassion and a deep belief in the power of education.
4/What stood out π
β’Β Care often begins with people who have known hardship themselves
β’Β Both homes offer not just a place to stay but structure, encouragement and daily support
β’Β Rainbow Children's Home also creates work opportunities for mothers through handicrafts and bag-making so they can earn an income while caring for their families
5/ What stayed with us most was the dedication of the people behind these efforts.
Individuals who show up every day to guide children toward becoming confident and responsible adults.

A few days in Da Nang meeting organizations working closely with vulnerable children in the community. Each visit offered a different perspective.
4/ What stood out π
β’ A "Feel Wheel" and "values tree" on the walls to help kids name emotions and track personal growth
β’Β Computers, books, and structured learning spaces inside the shelter
β’Β Mindmaps pinned near children's beds showing their chosen major and future aspirations
β’Β Staff focused on who these kids are becoming, not just where they are today
