Public health officials are investigating rare cancer cases in Eastern Kentucky children. Meanwhile, Kentucky lawmakers pass legislation that shields makers of dangerous pesticides from being held accountable for the harm their products cause. https://t.co/WBByscFj3O
The ocean is full of sound. For marine wildlife, sound is essential as it helps animals communicate, find food, avoid predators, navigate and sense the world around them. 🐋
When noise from human activities becomes too loud or lasts too long, it can harm marine animals in serious ways. It can damage hearing, mask the sounds they depend on, push them away from important habitats and, in some cases, even be lethal.
A quieter ocean can make a real difference for the marine migratory species that depend on sound to move and survive. 🔇

We cannot protect our #EndangeredSpecies by ignoring data. This ruling on malathion is a massive victory for 1,500+ species and the pollinators vital to our #foodsecurity. 🙌 A huge step in prioritizing real science over shortcuts. #environment 🦋🐝💙

Our planet is interconnected, our footprint has no boundary. #Microplastics have now reached tadpoles in the Amazon #rainforest, one of our most secluded sanctuaries. It is imperative we end #plasticpollution to protect our #ecosystems#environment 🌎🙏

#Coralreefs are critical for food systems and #biodiversity, but are also a vast "molecular library" with the potential for life saving breakthroughs. We must protect this vital connection between our #oceans and life on land. #environment 🌎🌊🙏

In December, the Govt will decide if it will renew the glyphosate licence until 2041…
•That’s 15 more years of impacts on worms, bees, soils and run-off into ponds and rivers, and glyphosate in your food. Sign Garden Organic’s petition NOW to ban this dangerous herbicide.
Please god people will listen and take David Attenborough’s most important warnings seriously. He is not exaggerating. We are in the most unimaginable trouble.
“In my lifetime, I have witnessed a terrible decline [of nature]. In yours, you could and should witness a wonderful recovery.” – David Attenborough.
We can do this
But if you are going to wait for Govts to act
It will never happen
Communities and people must act now
🥤Unlike natural materials, plastic goes back into Earth as a contaminant, endlessly polluting—WITHOUT regenerating, nourishing, or supporting Earth’s natural cycles that sustain us. It's time to #BreakFreeFromPlastic.
🚰 This World Water Day, let’s remember that it would take less than half of global annual bottled water sales to fund public, accessible drinking water to the 1 in 4 people globally without it. ‼️💧
The plastic bottled water industry undermines necessary investment in public infrastructure that could legitimately affirm the human right to safe drinking water, but it doesn’t have to be this way. Let's call on big business and government to put the health of people and the planet over profit.

The #EPA is to protect us from toxic threat. The administration is choosing unprecedented industrial deregulation instead. Public health certainly must come before dismantling safeguards for our air and water. There must be accountability. #environment

The planet is warming faster than ever before. What once felt like distant scientific warnings is now visible in burning forests, prolonged droughts, and unpredictable seasons. Climate change is no longer a future problem-it is today’s reality.
But the burden is not shared equally. While global emissions come largely from industrialized systems, the deepest wounds are often felt by communities with the fewest resources to respond. The climate crisis is increasingly becoming a crisis of inequality. ⚖️
In many rural and vulnerable communities, changing weather patterns mean failed harvests, food insecurity, water shortages, and rising disease risks. Families that already live on the edge of survival are pushed even further into uncertainty.
If we truly want climate justice, solutions must reach the most vulnerable first....supporting local resilience, protecting livelihoods, strengthening health systems, and empowering communities to adapt and lead the change. The future of the planet depends on it.

Climate change and nutrient pollution are driving oxygen out of the ocean and coastal waters, threatening marine life and fisheries.

We know the danger of #plastics. This study reviews how particles can reach the brain and disrupt processes linked to #Parkinson's. A sobering reminder of the risk factors in this devastating and progressive disease. We must act. #environment#health 🙏

Only two weeks remain now before the March 23, 2026 window to submit public comments on old-growth forest protections and the critical environmental, #conservation, and #climate issues at stake. Please make your voices heard. #Oregon#environment 🌎🙏

I am deeply opposed to #Trump plans to maximize logging on 2.5 million acres for profit. A billion board feet annually is not management or leadership. It is a violation of #Oregon's natural heritage and clean water. #environment#sustainability 🌎🌲🙏

The loss of #Arctic ice is a fundamental loss of planetary stability. Incrementalism is not a stabilization strategy. We must prioritize systemic transition to #renewables and a resilient infrastructure to address our #climate reality. #environment 🌎
