The last two months have seen the Year 10 students complete their final rotation of rugby in their GMS PE journey. Mr Taylor, Year 10 DOL, will look to sparkle as the competition’s referee.

The rugby 1st XV battled brilliantly against a strong Royal Latin side, losing 24-27. The team were leading 24-12 with 10 minutes left, but ran out of steam. MVP Tom 🏉

The Year 11B netball team also picked up a win this week with a solid team performance against SWR. Strong drives and super shooting was the highlight of the afternoon. MVP- Bella

The U16 netball team had a really close game against Pipers Corner on Wed. The girls played brilliantly, demonstrating patience & strength against tough opposition, but couldn’t quite maintain the intensity in the last Q. MVP Erin, for an outstanding performance at GS/GA 🏀

The Y7 rugby team performed brilliantly @ the Reading Blue Coat U12s tourn. They finished joint top of their pool in the morn & in the afternoon played against some of the best rugby schools in the area. MVP Duncan, for his electrifying running with the ball in hand 🏉

The U18 girls hockey team topped their group in the regional finals last week, but couldn’t quite do enough in the semi finals against our local neighbours SWB. Lots of brilliant indoor played through the day with a small squad, well done ladies. 🏑

The U18 Boys Hockey Team were crowned county champions at their indoor tournament yesterday, and progress to the regional round. A fantastic display of hockey throughout the afternoon, with the boys taking their chances and Bryn making many outstanding saves in goal! 👏🏼🏑🏆

The Year 9 girls enjoyed interhouse football on Monday, putting into practice what they have been working on in lessons. Fantastic turn out from Hawks who take the title! 🔵🦅

The U13 Girls Football Team finished runners up at the EFL County Competition on Tues. The girls got better and better as the day went on, drawing with the eventual winners in the afternoon session after a loss in the morning.

The Sixth form/Y11 rugby team are now in the last 16 of the National Bowl competition, after a hard-fought 22-17 win against King Alfred. A tough call for MVP - Fraser takes it, though Connor was very close. Both were superb in the battle up front #NationalBowl #EggChasers

The GU16 hockey team enjoyed a 5-0 win vs Beaconsfield High School. A strong performance away from home and looking good for their South Central Finals in 2 weeks 🏑

Before half term our small but mighty GU18 indoor hockey team became County Champs for the 4th year running, once again qualifying as Bucks first place representatives for the South Finals. They will take on the qualifiers from 3 other counties in November #qualitynotquantity 🏑

Fernando leads the Eagles. Harry takes charge of the Kites. John will be the boss of the Hawks. Miss Roberts, Year 7 DOL, will be the referee, watching closely for offsides, hands in the rucks, and all the other 8492 rules of rugby. #HouseRugby

On Friday 8th November, the Year 7s will be taking part in the house rugby competition. The year 7 students have completed a rotation of rugby in PE, learning a sport which is new to most, and will now be putting all their newly learnt skills into matches for their house.
