The risk of starting a fire is extremley high right now during this prolonged dry spell. #ThinkTwice about lighting up barbeques in public places. We need to do all we can to protect our countryside & firefighters. Remember-barbecuing on heathland is illegal. #SandwichesAreSafer

We currently have 12 resources in attendance at two incidents believed to have been caused by out of control bonfires.

Another 5 appliances are out providing fire cover whilst these incidents are resolved.

This is why we have kindly asked people not to have bonfires.
