5 reasons to practice the lost biblical discipline of fasting:
1. To seek God’s guidance
(Ezra 8:21)
2. To repent and return to God
(Ezra 8:23)
3. To humble the soul
(Ps 35:13)
4. To intercede for others
(2 Sam 12:16)
5. To draw closer to God
(Matt 6:17-18)
Since God is sovereign, why should we still pray?
1. Prayer is commanded by God.
(1 Thess 5:17)
2. Prayer aligns us with God's will.
(Matt 6:10)
3. Prayer strengthens our faith.
(Matt 21:22)
4. Prayer draws us closer to God.
(James 4:8)
5. Prayer is the means through which God works.
(James 5:16)
Prayer serves as a channel for God's sovereign work in the world.
Lord, my human pride makes me feel that if I with my reason can’t perceive any good reason for this suffering, then there can’t be any. Give me the humility that will bring me the peace that comes from trusting you. Amen.

May God give you kindness & grace for those who step on your toes. May He give you holy and humble confidence in the presence of those who misunderstand you. May He give you love & forgiveness for those who hurt you & miss you completely.
May the reality of heaven mean more to you than your temporary circumstances on earth. May the promise of God's provision compel you to live generously and with expectancy. May you see the blessing in your battles, fierce as they are.
We begin the day in silence because God should have the first word. We end the day in silence because God should have the last word.

“Lord, deliver me from the urge to open my mouth when I should shut it. Give me the wisdom to keep silence where silence is wise. Remind me that not everything needs to be said, and that there are very few things that need to be said by me.” Elisabeth Elliot
The Bible doesn’t use terms like ‘biological male’, ‘biological female’, or ‘non-binary’. It only recognizes ‘male’ and ‘female’, because that is what is originally designed by the Creator. All other terms are designed by confusion.
