@ReezTeez77562@Christianjw92 It’s not to say most people aren’t struggling a hell of a lot more, the principle is that to be genuinely comfortable in the UK these days you need to be earning 6 figures for the same lifestyle 40k would’ve got you 20 years ago, or for that matter in a lot of other cities
@georgeachillea Almost certainly wages, bare in mind there’s a flat 20% tax on player wages in the Turkish league, he’ll easily be on north of 300k per week, would be untenable for us to pay him the same with UK tax rates
@thfcandrej Admittedly our attacking prowess in virtually zero currently so he’s not got to do much to stand out, but he has had a decent pre season even if politics won’t allow people to admit it. Think he’s also pushing a move massively.
@sufferingspurs We won’t sell to them, but I’d say this is slightly naive considering he’s apparently ‘spoken to legohead’
I reckon he’s just incredibly selfish and doesn’t really care about any club he’s at outside of Barca/Belgrano and ofc the national team, he’ll just want cash and trophies.
@Kish_P14 As far as I’m aware he was only 19 at the time and completely unaware of exactly what it was, doesn’t excuse what he did but I do believe the way he has portrayed it that it isn’t something he was doing intentionally or in any other way. Also think he’s the better fit for us
@ingenuityff Why are we always the catalyst for uproar when we’re one of the few clubs who has reached this status organically without breaking rules or over spending in decades past. This ability to spend is as a result of 25 years where we failed in the market in virtually every way.
@TGE_LDNM Not to mention how disingenuous it is to suggest ‘immigrants built this country’ when we were more than 95% white British until the mid 90’s.
@TGE_LDNM Completely flawed on every level. To give them no benefits is essentially the first step we need to take as it will immediately stop 99% of them coming over, but to then offer a ‘business grant’ which will inevitably serve the same purpose is just rebranding what we have now.
