This is a talk I did for the UMC about my experience with #clergysexualabuse and I’m super proud of it and how I feel like I can finally speak well about my life. Please check it out!

@POTUS@JoeBiden I better see executive actions every second you have left. You owe the American people. Take bold action.
While you’re at it, executive action out student loans for every single person regardless of payment counts for every person already in the PSLF process.
@freedomsbride I literally just started sharing my story on TikTok and I’ve already received two ✨polite✨ requests to stop. If they didn’t want you to share, they shouldn’t have done anything to you💁🏼♀️
Thank you, Mr. President, for over 50 years of service to our grateful nation.
Your time in office will be remembered as one of the most successful and impactful presidencies in American history.
I would like to formally extend Republicans the same courtesy they show Democrats whenever there is a shooting.
So please accept:
1) My thoughts and prayers
2) It’s too soon to discuss this.
3) let’s not politicize a tragedy
4) No need to fear monger
5) let’s move on
Am I missing anything?
@stickermule I’m not sure you thought this through. I work for a state institution and we’ve ordered a lot of your products bc they’re good, but our state ethics laws don’t allow us to work with partisan organizations/vendors and now we can no longer work with you. It’s disappointing.
As we process this news about Donald Trump’s assassination attempt in Pennsylvania, remember the shooter didn't act alone.
He was assisted by 220 Republican House members, 49 Senators, and the NRA who have consistently blocked gun safety.
Two things can be true:
Trump should have never been shot at. The attempt on his life is atrocious and should absolutely be condemned.
And
Trump should not be president because of the hateful and authoritarian language he's used the last 8 years.
Religious institutions try to shut down necessary dialogue about clericalism, abuse, and consent by shifting the focus to gossip and slander. This is to bypass our healthy reactions of being betrayed, angry, and disgusted, and muffles dissent and our demand for accountability.
@JenniferMusial I always go for the underdog. Typically they’ll work harder for you too because they want to grow their network. AND they’re usually amazing. 3 of the staff I’ve hired for my office (I got promoted BTW) are alumni that started out as my student employees and were stellar.
@UMC_CommonSense I’d ignore the commentary and decide for yourself who that person. Sometimes it’s the pastor/leadership that’s toxic🥴
I had a pastor state I was the devil (well - that Jesus had left the church and would only return when I left) because I was calling out their abusive behavior.
@freedomsbride Ok well the X (formerly known as twitter) algorithm has decided I need to see all of your tweets today.
Let me tell you, my friend Matt wrote the most scathing resignation letter from this college because of their increasing behaviors.
